Plus Sam who I know has it. Wasn't sure about Nemoris and Epik.
What do I have?
Sam frowns at Epik "We have to trust him? We have to trust him? Did you by chance sense if he was evil at all?"
I didn't see a response on the size of the canoe

Epik will detect evil. He doesn't have the armor gem.

Amen Nowzai, preach on brother!
You said the boat stopped 20' away and then said he gestured for us to get in, did he move up so are we right next to him?
Can you answer this from above? DM Fflash wrote:

I am assuming this discussion happens before you all start getting naked

I propose we lure him in, grapple him into submission, tie him up and then take the boat.

Epik will wave him in. He will flash a couple of gold pieces to make it clear that we intend to hire him.

            Initative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
I'll hold my action until the frog man is fleeing (dropping into the water or something similar), attacking, or doing something that could be threatening, like casting a spell, drinking a potion, pulling out a wand, etc.
If he does, full round attack:
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (8) + (3) + 8 = 19+ Crit: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24 Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (4) + (2) + 8 = 14 Crit: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (7) + (3) + 8 = 18 Crit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Epik will move to grapple him once he is on the beach.

            Initiative - 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Sam will delay and only attack if the creature tries to escape or if Epik's grapple fails
Swift Action make Mord'ael a +2 Keen Flame Burst blade
To Hit - 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Damage - 1d6 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 6 + (6) = 18
Confirm Crit - 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

            The Ferryman Surprise Round
Init: Epik, Sam, Dalamus, Nemoris, Nowzai, Magma
The party subtley gathers behind Epik as the creature moves forward dragging the canoe with it toward the shore. As it closes in Epik grabs the unsuspecting creature easily, but quickly realizes he won't hold him long since the thing is covered in a slippery film and his grip immediately starts to slide.
The frog man croaks loudly
Still a surprise round, everyone gets 1 action, melees are within 5' except Dalamus. Ranged within 15 ... no map yet, Ill create one if we need it

            The Ferryman Surprise Rd (cont)
Init: Epik, Sam, Dalamus, Aabhaca, Nemoris, Nowzai, Magma
Sam, seeing the creature still grappled, for now, lights his sword with arcane power and waits. Dalamus moves in to help grapple next round (Dalamus was more than 5 feet away since he was drawing the stuff in the sand). Nemoris trains his bow on the creature while Nowzai waits as well.
Magma, on the other hand hammers home a crushing blow on the held creature, gouging it deeply. The creature's clothing is covered in a green goo however and his blade sticks. With a twist, the axe is yanked from Magma's grasp.
The Ferryman Round 1
Epik smashes the creature as well while Dalamus moves in to assist the grapple. Sam follows up as the creature squirms and gouges him painfully in the shoulder sending a spray of green blood. Both Epik and Sam lose their weapons to the adhesive and the creatures slips Epik and Dalamus grasp and then with a slight pause for a strange martial arts move, dives into the water as Nemoris' arrows fly towards him. He almost casually bats the three arrows aside as he move to go under.
Dalamus is still armed so would have an AoO and Nowzai still has an action before the creature mechanically swims away, badly wounded.
Aabhaca Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Adhesive disarm vs Magma: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28; succeed
Adhesive disarm vs Epik: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25; succeed
Adhesive disarm vs Sam: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28; succeed
Aabhaca Escape Artist: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19; succeed

If he was using Deflect Arrow that is only one arrow a round
Deflect Arrows (Combat)
You can knock arrows and other projectiles off course, preventing them from hitting you.
Prerequisites: Dex 13, Improved Unarmed Strike.
Benefit: You must have at least one hand free (holding nothing) to use this feat. Once per round when you would normally be hit with an attack from a ranged weapon, you may deflect it so that you take no damage from it. You must be aware of the attack and not flat-footed. Attempting to deflect a ranged attack doesn't count as an action. Unusually massive ranged weapons (such as boulders or ballista bolts) and ranged attacks generated by natural attacks or spell effects can't be deflected.
As a swift action, I will concentrate and call Mord'ael back to me from my blade. The blade stays with the creature, just calling Mord'ael back to me.
Sam concentrates and you see a black ball fly out of the water and streak towards Sam's upraised hand. Once he catches it you see it melt into his skin
