I run an online community for IT professionals, but the whole world is is becoming an online community now, so everything is blending together, plus everyone wants to use different chat clients so I have Teams, Slack, and Discord up all the time. Way too distracting.

Oh gee talk about a trifecta of distraction! It's funny I've only really encountered Discord in gaming contexts, kinda glad I don't have to use Slack.

Due to real-life circumstances, I may not be very responsive on the forums for the coming week. My mother is not doing well, and the hospital carousel is about to start. If I feel like I cannot continue to post, I will try to let you know.

Thanks for letting us know and our thoughts will be with you. Regrettably I'm familiar with how that feels, I lost my dad to cancer a few years ago and we very nearly lost my wife's father to covid19. Fingers crossed things can have a happy ending!

This morning my mother passed away after a furious month of rapid decline fighting what turned out to be cancer. It all happened so fast and so sudden that I most likely cannot fully comprehend it yet, but those closest to her got to say goodbye in a way that truly warms my heart and gives me hope for the days to come.

So yes, I'm still coming to grips with what happened, but next to that, I am also tired in a way that words cannot describe. My body, mind, and soul are squeezed dry and it will take weeks before I can return to a more normal state. Until then, I will occasionally have a glance at the game and what's going on, but what energy I have must go to other things.

Hopefully, I can rejoin you all soon, and continue to do something that gives me joy: roleplaying, playing Pathfinder, and weaving stories with others.

I'll pre-emptively thank you for your understanding and your compassion. I know we do not 'know' each other, but we've been playing together for so long that, with what's going on, you deserve to know what's going on beyond the veil.

Please accept our deepest condolences. Loosing a parent is a uniquely horrible experience as I know all too well (I lost my Dad to Prostate cancer 3 years ago). Really put me and the rest of the family through the emotional wringer and it still creeps up on me now and then even today.

To put the wealth you've been given into perspective, very successful middle class earn no more than 6 - 7g per week. Cardona is not kidding to say you could retire.

Speaking of next level (hehe), Ser Armithia will have access to his choice of Bless Weapon 3/day or Bull's Str 2/day or Magic Vestment 1/day.
I am going with Magic Vestment at CL 8 is +2 enhancement bonus AC.
That means my +1 Fullplate can be sold or given to another.
He will also--finally-- purchase a Belt +4...lol!

That's a lotta gold! I'll have to sit down when I have time (which is hopefully tomorrow) and figure out what I want to buy with all that. Kardas can now use medium armor, so I'll have to look into what sort of armor is best/most useful for him.

I must admit that Ser Armithia is the exact opposite type of character that I 99% play. He is my 1st Paly. His build (mostly from my lack of paly/melee experience) has been a bit slow; but I expected that to happen, because I wasn't planning on being the party's big bad damage guy.
I wanted to see organically how the Class was meant to grow. Although, after some researching, I fell in love with the Sentinel prestige class; as it really fit(s) my concept.
I am absolutely a chaotic player (if you read ANY of my other games) and it has been only by great restraint that Ser Armithia hasn't had his Paly powers taken!

Also having only 4 skill ranks a level is maddening...lol!

Phlan counts as a small city although it's population is growing daily... So that's a base of 4000g but there are a smattering of items up to 16000g.

Playing classes with low skill points is quite challenging, I agree.

Zane can prepare communal resist energy (acid) a couple of times. Should give everyone DR/20 acid for 28 minutes total.

Zane will also attempt to find a contractor (and land) to build a decent temple to Lathander. According the the link from Ultimate Campaign, a generic temple is about 1,400 gp. Not sure if that would include the land or not. He'd be more than happy to expand into some of the cleared/resettled area, if land is at a premium in the heart of the city.

@ Ishta I actually think that your Spellbook looks good; although, if we are going to be around water for a time?...then perhaps WaterBreathing.

@ Zane Ser Armithia also has Resist Energy 1/day(CL 6 unfortunately).

Wow, that tuned bowstring is just amazing. I had never seen that before. Unfortunately, also very very costly in terms of current funds. I might need to get some basics instead, because I don't even have a magic/good bow yet (had to get the bracers of archery first) but I will keep that in mind for later. :)
