Azarra
If I may suggest a Wand of Bless Water for 750gp.
Also, a Wand of Remove Fear (we are going to a creepy cemetery).
A Wand of Align Weapon (4500gp).
I may grab a Wand of Stalling tactic?
I bought the Wand above...lol.
Just seen this Bard spell
I really like this one (also it would be Paladin 1 wand!).
Kardas Rasalas
I added the Belt of +2 STR and two potions of Invisibility versus Undead to Kardas' sheet and updated his stats. Zane, feel free to add two scrolls of Death Ward to your inventory :D
That's all 5500gp spent!
Azarra
Ser, yeah, I saw that spell too, but bards can't switch out spells like clerics. They have to stick with the ones they get when leveling.
Also, a wand of align weapon would be a really great thing to have, but that is too expensive for me.

"The fireball sets fire to combustibles and damages objects in the area. It can melt metals with low melting points, such as lead, gold, copper, silver, and bronze."
I don't know. According to this it might melt down the key, depending on the metal, but also according to this it could melt all your GP and One never seen a GM being that cruel xD What do you say, shall we try?

Let the fire cleanse and Lathander and Helm sort it out!
Azarra
I say try.
Ishta Khosiv
Even if we break our "invisibility"?
Kardas Rasalas
This idiot spilled coffee over his mechanical keyboard and it might take a day for it to dry up -_- only have my phone atm
Ser Armithia-Seendren
As a player; I say let's continue to take advantage of the spell. As a gold elf Paladin of Helm...lol.
Zane Levallis
Seems like we're probably stuck until we get the key...unless you guys see another way around? Otherwise I think leading off with a flaming blast is as good a way to announce our presence as any.
Kardas Rasalas
Azarra could attempt a sleight of hand check. Alternatively, we buff up and smackeroo the undead. Sure, the necromancer(s?) might then be aware of us, but what can you do? It's a shame no one memorized Hide From Undead, but Kardas does have two potions so he could potentially give Azarra one after we kill the undead ... she can sneak around, use her songs to buff, and stay invisible to the mindless undead.
The other potion he will definitely keep for an emergency situation ;)
Zane Levallis
I'll second the 'Ishta blast them and let's see what happens' technique. Seems likely to happen, anyway. :)
Ishta Khosiv
I have a question.
Ishta has a scroll of this spell in her inventory. The spell clearly states it doesn't locate creatures but... could it be use to locate an object worn or carried by a creature? I don't know if that would violate the spirit of the spell.
Ser Armithia-Seendren
That is a great idea, Ishta.
Perhaps, you seen our Necromancer wearing a particular object? You would have 3 minutes and 520' range.
Ishta Khosiv
That was what I was thinking, actually I remember the GM describing him using a wand, for example. But the phrase negating the spell from locating people might turn my intention into a breaking of the "spirit of the law".

Just a heads up, I might be a bit slow and or unresponsive in the coming days. The troubles with my back and the currently ongoing revalidation project are kicking my ass.
Azarra
I'm on vacation today through January 10. I am still going to try to check in and update, but it may be less often, and there may be days where it just doesn't happen. Please feel free to bot me if needed.
Kardas Rasalas
Sorry, been having a dreadful week and now even my weekend is filled with work. I'll try to sit down either later today or tomorrow to catch up and post :)
Ser Armithia-Seendren
I started a new job. Working 6-7 days during the holidays, so that is slowing me down a bit too.
Apologies for the short posts.
Ishta Khosiv
Since Azarra asked, I thought I would direct you guys towards where I got this. From the Vampire template in the d20pfsrd page:
"If reduced to 0 hit points in combat, a vampire assumes gaseous form (see below) and attempts to escape. It must reach its coffin home within 2 hours or be utterly destroyed. (It can normally travel up to 9 miles in 2 hours.) Additional damage dealt to a vampire forced into gaseous form has no effect. Once at rest, the vampire is helpless. It regains 1 hit point after 1 hour, then is no longer helpless and resumes healing at the rate of 5 hit points per round."
Ishta is using this info since she made a Knowledge roll. If you, GM, think she shouldn't have access to it, then just tell me and I'll cease and desist.
According to this, we could just sit here on the coffin and wait for two hours, but we don't really know how many enemies the mist could alert.
Azarra
Ah. I always thought they just had to find a place to rest, not a specific place. Interesting. :) If that is the way the DM goes, we could just hang out for a while, and then go back and get the loot?
DM Fang Dragon
So from my understanding a Vampire can have more than one coffin, but it can't rest just anywhere. The coffin has to assocted with it somehow (contains original grave dirt etc...)
Ishta you know that and the info you listed above. You think it's getting pretty desperate by now.
Azarra
Sounds like it has another coffin back in town, which just makes this even more drawn out... we can't search this place or get the loot if we're following a freaking vampire back to town. With our luck we won't be able to come back because some accountant and his or her personal army will meet us on the way back wanting their share, or to take over the search or whatever.
"Uh, we don't have much loot yet... we are following that vampire."
"Give us your share now. The vampire can wait."
Or even worse... didn't the vampire look like someone in town? I believe my character rolled a perception check about that or something. Oh yeah... Councilor Cardona. So, we go back and Cardona tries to eat us because it is a whole vampire family. :)
Ser Armithia-Seendren
I like it! Let's go arrest her!
Ishta Khosiv
I know, right? I feel dumb a hell following the thing around, not having a spell that could just contain the mist - or a bloody box, or whatever. Gust of Wind is a 2nd level spell, too much to be casting it around for two hours. We could use a holy symbol, but eventually she'll pass the save.
Ottiluke's Elastic Sphere would do wonders here.

Alright, it took me a while, but if you check on Ishta's alias there's a spoiler at the end called "Story Notes". I've tried to gather important info there.

Ishta's intention is to:
-Sell whichever loot they need to sell.
-Rest.
-Debate with the rest of the group what are they going to omit from the official report.
-Maybe study some spells.
Not necessarily in this order.
DM Fang Dragon
Oh and welcome to level 7. Please post your level up summary.
Ishta Khosiv
Yay!
Azarra
I think we have to get the chest restored before we can sell it for full price, right?
Will try to get to level up asap, but it might not be till tomorrow.

Wooohoooo!
Ishta Khosiv
Also, we are supposed to get what was in the vault, though I think that was to be kept secret. Maybe we can sneak it out through the back door?
DM Fang Dragon
Depends on how much of a murderer hobo you're feeling like ;) You're not entirely sure what's in the vault you didn't open, although you think a bunch of people died in there based on what the council said (they asked you not to go in there). As for the silver trade bars yes you got that.
Ishta Khosiv
Yes, I meant the silver bars :)
Also, 7th Level:
·Feat: Extra Arcanist Exploits
·Exploits: Potent Magic and School Understanding (due to feat, see above)
·Extra 3rd level spell per day
·Extra 1st, 2nd and 3rd level spells prepared
·Skills: +1 Kn Arcana, +1 Kn Local, +1 Kn Dungeoneering, +1 Kn Religion, +1 Perception, +1 Spellcraft, +1 UMD, +1 Appraise, +1 Kn Nobility
·Spells known: still combing through the spell lists. Any spell you've thought in any situation "hey, this one would be good now"? I accept suggestions. Thanks to Quick Study and the Pnemonic Vest, Ishta can get you those "silver bullets" and every spell in her list is potentially useful even if not memorized.
Also, mostly to Azarra: We both seem to be spending a lot on Knowledge Skills. My intention is to leave some of them at 15 total, then focusing on only about 2-4 of them. If you feel like, we could talk which ones each of us is going to focus on (though I guess we both want Kn Arcana, for example).
Another question: Ishta would like to retrain a trait. Well, to be precise, a third of a trait. Her trait Outlander lets her choose 3 spells to boost, and she would like to retrain one of them. Is that even possible? If so, how much time would that take, and how costly would it be? Thank you.
DM Fang Dragon
Re retraining we are using the rules here. A trait takes 20 days to change and you need to find a trainer with that trait. So I guess what you are asking will take 20/3 days, can call it a week which is close enough.
We can have some downtime if you want to do that. I would like to some of this RPd (finding the trainer, a little about the retraining itself).
Azarra
Ishta,
I'm actually not spending a lot on knowledge skills. I have one point in each in order to get the class skill bonus, and they will go up automatically every two levels because of Bardic Knowledge, but other than that, they are just static. I have been putting more points into face skills and rogue-ish skills since I am kind of the default there.
If you want me to throw some extra points into something to make up for a lack in the party though, happy to.
Ishta Khosiv
Azarra: No problem, I'll just throw skull points there as was my original plan. I just didn't want us to overlap and feel useless if it could be avoided.
DM: A week is fine. Not sure about finding anyone with the trait, and is an amount of time we probably don't have right now anyway, at least for such a minor thing, so I guess I'll leave it be for a while. Thank you.
Others: Spell suggestions are still accepted :p Also, we had some spellbooks with spells to be decided, right? We could set some of them (Kardas and I, I guess).
One last thing: is Leadership a valid feat? Not that I'm thinking of taking it, but maybe any of us is.
DM Fang Dragon
Leadership tends to cause too many issues in my experience, let's skip that one.
Ser Armithia-Seendren
Ishta Khosiv
Also, is the loot list updated? I con't find the loot from the library, or maybe I'm too dumb to understand it :P
Ishta Khosiv
Sorry, I found it. It seems I'm certainly too dumb :P
Sadly, it seems everything that was not assigned was sold out, I should have been quicker assigning those free-selection spellbooks :P Anyways, Ishta will pick Fly and Guarding Knowledge as her level up spells, and try to copy some more of them in her spare time.
Azarra
7th level:
Actually got at 6th level, but not sure why I didn't add to my sheet:
Weird Words (Su): At 6th level the bard can start a performance that is always a standard action to speak up to one word per 4 bard levels laden with sonic energy. Each word deals 4d6 points of sonic damage as a ranged touch attack with a range of 30 feet. The bard adds his charisma modifier on damage rolls with weird words. Multiple words that strike the same target stack into a single powerful attack, applying energy resistance and bonuses on damage rolls only once. The bard can target all words at the same or different targets, but he unleashes all words simultaneously. Each word costs 1 round of bardic performance.
6 HP (if we're doing half plus one, I always forget which games are)
Get another 1st level spell and two third level spells (to be chosen).
BAB+1
[Feat: to be chosen]
Skills: Diplomacy, Disable Device, Perception, Spellcraft, Stealth, Escape Artist, Climb, Bluff, Acrobatics, Appraise
I think that is most of it, but have to still choose a few things (sorry for being slow)

I apologize for my absence the last couple of days. I'm a member of the executive leadership team where I work, and I have been swamped with planning for this coronavirus nightmare, the new sick leave laws, and what all that means for us. I'll try to keep up, but if I go silent here and there that's why.
Level 7
HP +9 (8+1)
BAB +1
Feat: Combat Casting
Skills:
Diplomacy
Heal
Perception
Sense Motive
*Kn History
*Perform (Sing)
Level 4 Spells:
1+1(bonus)+1(domain)

Yeah, the whole pandemic thing is throwing me off a bit too. I was already working from home one day a week, but every day is weird with no real boundary between work and life. Find myself working on things off hours a lot just because that is when someone writes in, and can't just turn off the computer because this is where my leisure time stuff is as well, or at least a lot of it. I'm sure I'll get it sorted, and it is probably good practice because I think working at home might become permanent for me (my company allowed that pre-COVID-19). Just have to find a better balance.

Ishta wants to transcribe to her book the following spells:
Comprehend Languages (1st Lvl)
Locate Object (2nd Lvl)
Silent Table (2nd Lvl)
Revelation (3rd Lvl)
For now, this. Please tell me if she has time to do it and if she finds them available (or how many of them she does).

I've been WFH for two weeks now, can't say I like it. Problem is the kids are off school and bouncing off the walls. I'm a software engineer and I meet peace and quiet to concentrate :<
Kardas Rasalas
Ouch. I can imagine that takes quite a toll on a person.
I've been self-quarantining because I showed all the symptoms last week and have been with people from the 'hot spot' here in the Netherlands, so yeah, the only people I've seen are the cashiers at the supermarket and my parents. I feel fine, so that's good, but my energy levels are absolutely horrible, hence my slow posting rate. Right now it's 14:26 and I already feel the urge to crawl into bed for an hour or two of sleep ><
