Just wondering if any Rebuilding is allowed at 5th level to allow options from the Advanced race guide?
I'd be keen on:
Focused Study: All humans are skillful, but some, rather than being generalists, tend to specialize in a handful of skills. At 1st, 8th, and 16th level,
gain Skill Focus in a skill of their choice as a bonus feat. This racial trait replaces the bonus feat trait.
Xavier would actually be good at a couple of things then.

Xavier, that sounds kind of tough, actually; you're getting essentially the half-elf second feat plus two more as you go up levels. Some one of these days I'll pick up the pdf version and take a look at it.
I'll get a game post up tomorrow, probably; work has been busy, and my laptop at home is dying.

I think the the idea is that you give up the skill points, and the bonus feat, which is normally better than a skill focus feat. In return you hope to stay alive long enough to reap the benefits of the trade off. In short you trading in the immediate payoff for a bigger reward later on.
PS:I am not advocating for or against it. :)

Nah, pretty sure you give up the bonus feat only.
It's basically a no brainer for ANY human that plans on taking skill focus.
Eldritch heritage builds (like mine)
Or Intimidate builds etc.
It's cool. Just an unashamed request.
My build works without it. Just woulda made me a better scout, wand user.
Waiting for the battlemap. Hopefully we can get it done.

Basically as the story develops I'm finding Xavier is developing a deep seated fear of Magic That effects his will. This will effect his Char by making him target spellcasters above all else unless he feels protected and makes him very protective of his allies whom he needs to defend his will.
If the gets good enough with UMD he'll find wands of PfmE and any other item he can get to shield his mind.
If DM is not happy with any of these ARG options...
well, Xavier will just take Skill Focus: Survival as his 5th level feat.
