A dinghy can hold 4 people. Maybe ours is just a little bigger than that one since those 2 kids probably only count as one adult.

Ahh...yes. Sorry; I DM a few 3.5E DND games, which have Move Silently and Hide. Thank the gods that Pathfinder has it in a neat little package.
Are we going to post in initiative order?
Up to DM Carbide, but it takes a lot longer if you post in order. So rather than maybe getting a round done in 24 hrs, you wait a day whist each player posts their actions, especially as we're all in different time zones. I'm happy either way.
I'm fine with posting out of turn to speed things along, as long as you keep track of what's going on in case the situation on the ground changes.
Posts can be out of order, but actions are taken in order. On balance I think that despite the risk of having the basis for an action negated it comes out as a net timesaver.
Update coming tomorrow; this weekend evaporated while I wasn't looking (on the plus side, my wife & I went to see the new Studio Ghibli movie, which was very good).

Map's updated. Sami, we went to see "The Secret World of Arietty." Castle in the Sky was Laputa, wasn't it, from the flying city in "Gulliver's Travels?" Rumor had it that Disney was originally going to release a dubbed version in the US as "Laputa: Castle in the Sky," until someone realized what the word meant in Spanish.
Ha! Didn't think of that; could be a tricky thing to take your kids to, especially if that's their native language.

I'll get something out in the next couple of days, although I may be afk tomorrow as well--my mother is in hospital with minor atrial fibrillation (the meds are working so far, so she probably won't need a pacemaker), and I may be going up to visit her.

Wishing your mother a speedy recovery DM Carbide, I'll be very busy over the next week or so as I move my mother out of her house to live with us. This is forced on us by her health rather than her desire. Anyway I'll try and keep Darc involved as much as I can.
Stupid question...my elemental fist does additional fire damage; that's not AOE damage unless it specifically calls out, right?
And...are we near enough to the water to make it relevant?
You're several hundred feet from the water, off the right-hand edge of the current map. The ground between where you are and the water is generally open.
The fire damage is not AoE, unfortunately.

I'm going to be on the road and hard to reach for the next twelve hours or so.
Is it standard speed through the trees, or are they restrictive terrain?
The trees (and the brush under them) are rough terrain, so 2x movement cost and no charges.
I have to say, I expected a CL+2 encounter to be a challenge, but this is not looking good. (OTOH, all it'll take is some good rolls to put you back into the fight.)
I hate the dice gods.
Took Improved Iron Will like all the optimizers said and I blew both rolls.

Today is an all-day all-hands safety day at work, so (since I'm the safety officer for my division) I'm not likely to be able to post much, if at all. If Sami survives the creature's attack he and Rashun should be able to do something to it...I hope.
