I've taken a bit of time to build a wishlist of scrolls Karla would like to procure:

-Wall of Iron, 1,650 gp
-True Seeing, 1,650 gp
-Stone to Flesh (2), 3,300 gp
-Vision, 2,275 gp
-Forcecage, 2,275+500 gp

Wulfram doesn't want to delay the operation. My understanding is that upgrading the Belt of Physical Perfection would take 80 days — almost three months.

Teleport allows Karla five more medium creatures, with Large creatures counting as two, so I can't bring everyone in one go. I could, however, bring some of us and then go back to get the others, either immediately or once we've cleared the room. For example, I could bring Eustoma, Rogar, Wulfram and Sia, then go back for Nik'o.

I think we will need to use Greater Teleport to go to the control room.

I don't think Karla can't actually see the control room through Wulfram's scrying spell, but his description is hopefully sufficient for Greater Teleport (Greater Scrying lasts 1 hour/lvl, so Scabvistin is likely to have moved around the tower during that time, giving Wulfram a reasonable idea of the layout).

I'm not absolutely sure, but the wording of Greater Teleport implies that you have to have personally seen the destination to use the lower level version of Teleport.


You would have to use greater teleport. You can buy a scroll of it.


Ok, but greater teleport has the same limit of people as teleport. How do we solve that issue? Do we leave one of the animal companions behind?


Or we buy three scrolls at 2,275 gp each (lvl 7).


You could cast pup shape to temporarily make them small enough to teleport.

This is the first time that Wulfram has memorized and used those two of the cleric spells that he picked up using the Shaman human favored class bonus.

@DM Brainiac: I'm a bit confused about our next move.

Do we get the sense that we need to disable the geomantic nodes before we go to the Onyx Citadel? It sounded like it would be a deathtrap if we didn't. Or am I getting mixed up?

I was under the impression that we discovered a listing of some unexplained coordinates in Nirmathas. Or do we not have enough information without going to the Onyx Citadel first?


The next step is to travel to the Onyx Vault. Once there, you will have to find the geomantic nodes and disable them to prevent Zanathura from being able to transpose the Onyx Citadel on top of Nirmathas. Then the final step will be to assault the Citadel itself. Make sense?


This may be one of your last chances to purchase gear before the end of the campaign, so make sure you are prepared before traveling to the Onyx Vault!
