DM Brainiac:
Speaking of that feat, could I customize an "emotion chip" that goes into a skillchip slot and gives an android the Empathy feat? Following the guidance of the ol' ioun stone as a slotless item that grants the Alertness feat, it would presumably have a cost of 10k gp.

Requires a 13 Charisma.
But, our illustrious DM has ruled that you can get a skillslot cyberware (2,000 gp), then get a custom emotion chip (10,000 gp) that gives you the feat even if you don't have the Charisma requirement - much like a dark blue rhomboid ioun stone, which gives you the Alertness feat as a slotless magical effect.
Did I mention that I picked up the Craft Cyberware feat, so with a cybernetics lab I can make these (and for half cost)?

Outflank+Combat reflexes is something we avoid at some of the tables where I play and ruined some combats pre-ban at my Crimson Throne local game.
I was thinking to go Critical Focus next (to then use weapon mastery to cherry pick specific critical feats when it made more sense) or Quicken Spell metamagic to cast defensive spells during combat. Recently I am looking at Improved Vital Strike with better eyes though.
Besides, if you really want to Outflank, Holg can pick it whenever necessary with weapon mastery because it is a combat feat in addition to teamwork :)

???
I'll admit that OF+CR can be powerful if you get two characters that have good threat ranges and roll well. But how is it that much more powerful than all sorts of other combinations? A feated-up archer, for example.

We called it ping pong game, laughed to the floor once with it, then we all decided to not use it again when we noticed how miserable the GM was feeling.

Well, daze metamagic is a thing we could talk about definitely xD
At least casters only have a few spells a day with a high enough DC to matter and if you optimize for it, you will lose on the utility and resilience sides.
But sure, there are many ways to break the maths once you get over the 10s.

I should introduce you to Mel, or Imperia!
[Mesmerists, they make save or suck useful!]
OF+CR is really something you want with Fifteen and someone like Holg. Fifteen gets the crits (and hits more easily thanks to the flanking) and Holg just pummels them into the ground to take advantage.
Anyway, Brainiac is tough. He dealt with me one shotting at least 3 'book monsters' to date, he can cope with passing crits. :D

There is a paladin in my Shackled City which seems to have the ability to single crit half my bosses in the AP. It has been epic so far. With axe x3 damage, and smite first attack x2 damage he has left a remarkable memory in all of us xD
I have remembered a couple more details about that Crimson Throne I was talking before. In fact only the inquisitor had Outflank, but he was using the coordinate effort spell to give the feat to everyone. With the greatsword combat reflexes barbarian and the assault leader rogue they made pulp of one boss at Scarwall Fortress during the initial round (we had been talking with the boss and everyone was adjacent), the inquisitor who runs a scimitar with a 15-20 crit range basically duplicates its Outflank chances with each companion at the other side (for each outflank attack you trigger you have two chances at the attack coming back to you again), and thanks to the spell, they do not even need to devote a feat to it.
Assault Leader (rogue talent) wrote:
Once per day, when the rogue misses with an attack on a flanked opponent, she can designate a single ally who is also flanking the target that her attack missed. That ally can make a single melee attack against the opponent as an immediate action.
With that talent the rogue was able to keep the loop going even after a failed attack xD
Sorry, I was out of town for the weekend. Fifteen is correct. None of the monsters approached to melee range with you so your readied attacks did not go off.
Everybody but Holg still have their actions for the round.

You are right, Holg is silly and he ran off. Nevertheless, he run there before you both readied actions, so I am not completely sure why Holg is being pointed out here xD
Besides, note a ready can only ready a standard action and to make more than 1 attack you always need to use the full attack action which spends both the standard and move actions. So you cannot make more than a single attack with a ready (unless you have some special ability like Cleave).
When you have a moment, could you please update the map, Brainiac? I'd like to know where exactly these ghoulies are positioned before I make a tactical decision so I don't repeat Holg's mistake...

I know those ones! They are gugs.
One of them nearly TPKed my party on RotRL on a random encounter in Sano's forest when they were 7th level. Only the bard was on foot, barely alive thanks to mirror image and attacking with his bow by when the combat finished.
Ah, oops! I forgot the initiative was staggered for this fight. I'll post shortly, and Viv can use her rolls for her next action which will come after the enemy. Sorry!
Every time I notice a bunch of posts on this thread I get panicky before I realize a majority of them are just Molly and Fifteen being a cute couple. :P
