Description: Age 22, Adult Height 5-ft, 10-in Weight 180 lb.
Hair Red Eyes Blue
Runolf looks very stocky, muscles lithe with coiled strength, but his overall stature is quite average. Despite this, his chest is often puffed up and his presence seems larger than the sum of his measurements. Despite his relatively young age, he seems a bit older. He bears many scars and his body is adorned with various tattoos, covering his neck down. He even has began expanding to his lower face. The tattoos range from abstract and tribal designs to images of nature, animals, heroes, and even Linnorn dragons. Various scripts in a number of languages also adorn his flesh, many of the words being quotes or prose about freedom or life on the open sea. He's allowed his beard to grow long and the bright red of it and his hair shows clearly his Ulfen heritage.
Personality:Runolf is generally a fierce presence, brow nearly constantly lowered and mouth sideways in a scowl. He is a no nonsense type when on deck or when sailing. He expects a ship to function at tip top shape and becomes upset at those who choose to slack off or skirt responsibility. He believes himself fearless, having been through a number of things inn his life out on the water. While not altogether fearless, he is certainly harder to shake than the average man. When the time is appropriate, Red Beard parties with the best of them, delighting in women and wine and exotic herb. He laughs readily and jovially despite his stern visage, often making jokes and singing scandalous tunes while going about ship duties, as long as those around him pull their weight, they'll stay on his good side.
Background:Runolf is the grandson of the original Red Beard, who was a Ulfen Pirate who made his way down to the shackles and terrorized shipping lanes and rival pirates alike for over a decade. He sired a child and as fate would have it was killed when his ship capsized weeks later. His son grew up as a peasant, eking out a living anyway he knew how, often working as a port hand. Runolf was born and had eyes for the sea, he was never far from it, and by his 10th birthday he was a cabin boy aboard a pirate ship. He's lived his whole young life as a deckhand, sailor, and raider. On his latest return to dry land, he made his way to a tavern called the Formidably Maid, a notorious pirate hangout in Port Peril. While there, however, a dashing and flirtatious corsair caught Red Beard's eye, and after a whirlwind night of booze and romance, he found himself beaten senseless and stuffed in a sack, carried off to who knows where.
