Sacha is a first generation Rostlander, her full blooded varisian features make that plain to all. Yet being raised in Brevoy, Rostland in particular. Saw her ingrained with the traits so common to the locals of that land. Willful, proud, and determined Sacha like many youths turned to the tradition of the Aldori Swordlords. To her shame and anger she found the blade ill suited to her no matter how much she trained. Still she relentlessly practiced the forms hoping to overcome her natural disposition by sheer repetition. It was during one of these sessions that an elven scholar spied upon her while he waited to speak to the schools instructor, he was called Aolis.
Losing her temper after another mistake she lashed out at the watchful elf, blaming him for her broken concentration. Aolis merely smiled, plucked the aldori dueling sword from her hands and replaced it with a rapier. Instructing her to use only her main hand and wrist while keeping the other firmly upon her lower back. Before she could protest or overcome her confusion at the elf, he had summoned a dog headed humanoid that wielded a greatsword. On impulse and reaction she countered it's strike, to no effect. Still with in moments she had found the blade to her liking and well suited for her. She became aware as well that the elf had summoned the creature as a sparring partner for she sensed no bloodlust or aggression from the strange canine.
From that day forward Sacha abandoned becoming a aldori swordlord and followed the strange elf that had helped her find her way. Aolis for his part did not seem to mind, thinking it a youthful indulgence of a grateful person, he thought she would move on in time. Sacha did not, at least not in the sense of leaving Aolis service. Overtime she became his student as well as a student of her preferred sword style, blending magic and swordsmanship.
Years have turned Sacha from a girl into a woman, yet she still follows Aolis. More as a secretary/bodyguard then as a student or indulgent youth. Having become Aolis equal in respect and appreciation if not in terms of magical prowess, not that the elf has any illusions of holding a blade in comparison to hers.
