Korianadoesn´t give credit to what it she hears when he realizes Fimbir had misunderstood completely the situation.
Are you serious? You have come to me without realizing anything?
Galt has nothing to do with this, they were some thugs who can be easily deceived with a disguise and a fake name.
She will not be hurt. Imagine, if you will, that news comes of a dashing Qadiran prince rescuing Thalia from the kidnappers as they took her to their employer in Absalom, and she chooses to marry him straightaway and live out her days in his distant homeland surrounded by luxury. Or it turns out she was taken by slavers to Thuvia, where she was freed by an order of monks that she then decided to join. It hadn't been orchestrated her ultimate destination before she had time to ruin everything, so this kidnapping is merely a temporary solution. Although there is no denying she will no longer be a part of the Andares family, I promise that I will do my best to ensure that no harm will come to her wherever she goes.

"I knew in my heart that the man was corrupt." Silver Warden turns to Thalia, "My apologies, miss, but I read some of your journals looking for clues." Then he turns back to the shop-mistress. "Thalia is a free woman. We will not "give" her to you. Perhaps it is what she would freely choose to do?" Silver Warden turns to Thalia again, but his inquisitive expression is hidden by his mask.

Sorry for the delay. Traveling yesterday and been at the hospice home this morning.
"I'm not sure we can trust your words, Koriana." Ghaenk turns to his fellow pathfinders, "I'd prefer to trust in Thalia. Justice should be served to her father if he was involved in this."

![]() |

Gill removes his hat, rubs his head, clearly taxed by the complications of politics and the "maneuvering" employed by Koriana.
"Uhh, all I know is yer makin' my noggin' ache with all this talk. Blahblah, Tercio Andares. Blahblah Qadiran prince. This all seems way to convoluted to me, and convoluted smells like rottin' fish!"
Gill takes a look at Thalia.
"As far as I can tell miss, you've done no wrong except have a foolish head filled with far-fetched ideas, and that ain't no reason to do more than give you a strong talkin-to."
Gill then looks to the others.
"Except, we needs the men for the war up north. I can't punch every last demon out... unless one of you knows how to clone a thousand Gills, and if one of you knows hows to do that, why didn't you say so before we came all the way out here??!"
Gill looks agitated, confused... and old.
Gill will always do the "right thing" which in this case is to not turn over Thalia and trust that they will be able to secure the aid they need from Thalia herself, Tercio maybe, or even the Eagle Knight we met earlier.

"Oh? And have you asked Thalia what she thinks of the matter?" Fimbir asks, then turns to their companion. "Thalia. Is there a place you wouldn't mind going? Or is here your home and your heart, so to speak?"

Oykiv |

Of course nobody has asked her, and obviously she will never accept. But that's the safest way for her to not interfere in something bigger than her. Lady Koriana answer is in turn answered by Thalia who gives a speech about Andoran ideals of freedom and staing she willingly risk her life to defend them.
As I said continues Lady Koriana, she doesn´t thinks in her safety, or in helping you. Just in her own ideals.
Three of you had already stated you'll do what you think "the right thing" even if that means going against your objectives and causing here the same "revolution" that had been in Galt for decades.
But three of you still have your doubts and haven't said against or in favor of my proposal. Do you think as your companion or do you have more common sense?
Or "the GM wants a majority of the group with the same opinion" I count Fimbir as doubtfull as he had make a question, but not said if he's against the agreement

![]() |

Fimbir clenches his small left fist. "Well you should have asked. And I have never been accused of having sense!" The gnome sounds indignant at the last part.
That's a pro-Thalia stance. with this character at least Fimbir won't sit by and watch her be unwillingly carted off.

"Thalia, get in the corner!" The gnome yells as Koriana calls for the noblewoman's capture. Fimbir begins drawing heat and energy into himself, but seeing the Lady pass out he tries to hold the energy for one of her flunkies.
Fimbir's move action is to Gather Power. He will ready an action to fire a Burning Blast at an enemy who tries to come through the door.
If they are hit, they need to make a DC 14 Reflex save or catch on fire, taking another 1d6 fire damage this round, and every other round until they extinguish it.

The wasp, tell everything is a little vague for my taste. You know what do you want to know, I as GM also know it too, but he? He was out of the conversation until called.
Do you want him to confess he's cheating his wife, he has beaten people just for money, tell all he had done in his life since he remember? All of this can be considerered as "tell everything"
Kill!!! A surrendered combatant!!! Exclaims Thalia indigned. That goes against the very core of the Common Rule!
They must face a trial and tell the ombudsman all the truth As Gill said she has a foolish head filled with far-fetched ideas
Tell about what? My brother and I just work here as enforcers. We make sure no customer gets violent, or put out of her whoever wants her alchemical remedies without paying, that kind of things. Also we work as errand boys delivering packages, buying pesh or supplies.
We work for Koriana, don´t know nothing about her working for Mr. Andares. And don't want to scr** with the mayor, he's not the kind of people I don`t mind to have problems with
He's telling the truth.
Koriana recovers his conciosness as Fimber asks for proofs and laughts about it. Ha! You're asking my men for proofs? They don't even have a proof they work for me. They're just my enforcers, not my confidents. Her words are stoped by a sudden slam of the door. Here goes Barnabas, or so its sounds, she continues, a smart boy and a good apprentice. I hope Barnabas had picked some money before run, he will need it to survive until he find another job.
Regarding interrogation. In Andoren corruption is considered as high treason, and the sentence is death. No one will give you proof that means being hanged or beheaded just to avoid the risk of death, and even less with Thalia defending their rights to a due process.
Anything else to do in the shop? Loot it? Or we should go directly to talk with someone who can help you with your mission

The Wasp seems satisfied by what he has heard, and puts away his sword. No one is cheating on their wife, then? That is wise...
"Well, we seem to have involved ourselves in a plot of betrayal an intrigue. But we need to secure the backing we came seeking first and foremost. Given what we have learned here, I think we should consider Miss Koriana's proposal. Otherwise, I fear we have to go begging a corrupted official, and I am not so good with convincing people to do my bidding." Which makes me wonder why they sent me on this mission in the first place!

![]() |

These men know nothing. Let us move on.
"Move on? A bit hasty, no?" Fimbir says, as he moves past Koriana into the back room. "If this is a case, you've got to follow the leads, look around, eye-to-the-grindstone and all that."
As the gnome searches, he continues to call back to Thalia in the front room. [b]"Even you should agree milady. Convictions aren't the same as convictions, right? Heart-wise versus court-wise at least. Word against word is always helped by evidence.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Fimbir is trying to find any correspondence or hidden signs of a deal between Korianna and Tercio.
Also VC Brackett is great at selecting appropriate Pathfinders for mission assignments you guys :P

Well, at least you have some social skills between all. I've GMed to a group who not only has +0 as their best social skill, but also informed hostile NPCs about the people they we're escorting when they we're asked how many of them were travelling. They informed about the people who went hidding and asked them to manage the conversations without letting the hostile NPCs to know of their presence.
That was an awfully selected group.
And don't let me talk about the 10 minute interrogation without any question and the interrogator bluffing about their plans
As Fimbir searches the shop something catches his eye, Koriana's display case contains a large number of potions, including a potion of enlarge person, a potion of reduce person, a potion of invisibility, and three potions of cure light wounds. Is not exactly what he was searching for, but it's useful nevertheless.
But he continues searching, convinced there should be some kind of proof of the deal. And his convinction is rewarded when he finds a lockbox hidden beneath the floorboards under her writing desk. Inside it there are many of the missives that Tercio Andares sent to her. Collectively, the documents provide incomplete evidence that the Andares family has colluded with several other noteworthy families to rig local elections and keep each other in important offices.
The documents also suggest that Sander Bryton might be involved in helping Tercio Andares to remain a consul in return for similar treatment.
That looks the kind of proof Fimbir was talking about. We have more than enough proofs, don't you think? Then she pauses a moment to think about the situation and continues: You saved my life and my freedom, I'll honor that actions giving you funds for your mission as soon as my father's property is forfeit and pass to me, but I can't provide military support.
But although Sander Bryton is suspect, he may be able to provide you with the military aid you're looking for.

![]() |

I'm back. Sorry for the delay but I've been trying to catchup on several threads. The following is assuming that Fimbir shares his finding with the group.
Upon seeing the documents, Ghaenk blurts out, "By the gods! I'm sorry Thalia, but your father's involvement in nefarious affairs related to the key positions and offices of local government are confirmed. He must be brought to justice! It also appears that Sander Bryton has been involved."
Turning to Koriana and the Pathfinders, he continues, "These documents, along with Thalia's testimony, should be enough to convict Thalia's father. As to Bryton, perhaps with this knowledge, we can persuade him to provide military assistance."
Grabbing the manacles from his belt, he quickly cuffs Koriana. "Let's pay Bryton a visit. I'm going to enjoy this conversation."

![]() |

Silver Warden slowly shakes his head. "This is a sad day for Andoren. Corruption and deceit. The hearts of men are ever untrue." At the word of seeing Bryton, Silver Warden declares that Glomtin Weol will meet them there.

Gill waves a hand as if he couldn't be bothered with the machinations of Andoran drama.
"Aghhhh! Bother! Maybe some good could be made of the kid (Bryton) if we twist his arm to send troops to the Worldwound to fight the demons."
Gill looks down on Koriana and shakes his head.
"Come on kid (Thalia), let's get you home and deliver the bad soup to daddy."

![]() |

"Yes, yes, a sad sordid tale indeed." Fimbir agrees, as he keeps the notes close to his chest. "But perhaps one with a silver lining at least, if a greater good can come from it. Now miss," the gnome says to Thalia with a flourish. "You've talked big about confronting your father with his sins, crimes against ideals, and so on and so on. But seems he's pretty big in this town. Can you trust a court to move on him?"
I'd also suggest when we talk to Bryton, we hold off on mentioning the documents until we see how he responds to the request from the start. The old 'spring it on him to shake him' routine.

"Yes, as a matter of fact, we did find her safe and unharmed. She is currently with her father having a reunion of sorts." Ghaenk beams a smile at Bryton. "I believe the Pathfinder Society will be receiving some financial support for military campaign against the Worldwound as a result of our efforts in Thalia's kidnapping."
Ghaenk shifts a little in his posture and stance, trying to look impressive and more worldly than he feels or truly is. "Which brings us to you, Consul. The Society would be much obliged if you would assist us by providing military support in the campaign against the Worldwound. Perhaps the Eagle Knights could head to Mendev in recognition of our support here in Sauerton. Not only would the Society think kindly of you, but helping secure victory against Worldwound would surely benefit this community... and help solidify your position here as Consul. What say you?"
