someone asked so I wanted everyone to know you have until we get level 2 to make any changes to your character its my house rule due to RP and characters sometimes not working like you expect. including Archetype, ability scores, skills points, traits, drawbacks, and feats, but not class, background, equipment or sex.(excluding free guns by gunslingers or something to that effect.)

@ DM Chubbleston
Ouch. Sorry I did not update my character equipment in my character sheet as I did in my character generation. I started with 70 gold and show much less than this on my sheet since things at the time still were in flux. I did mention this stuff in the discussion session much earlier. I guess it thought we be in the field earlier.
So I throw myself on the mercy of the DM.
This is what I had for the past month on the generator that I foolishly didn't update on my character sheet. It's not much different, just the thieves' tools and a few coins. (Rani's broke not destitute.)
This list shows what should have been there all along.

Rani turns to Neve, "Mistress Neve you are armed as a warrior but wield some arts, not having seen your workings, I am not sure of which tradition or blood, is it of the gods or the more worldly mysteries? In any event are you amenable to being the rear guard?"
Ugh. Pet peeve: the divide between "arcane" and "divine" magic - it's not even a real divide, they have the same mechanics and the spell lists aren't even that separate any more.
Neve sees herself as a priest in service to art/beauty, not as an arcane type, but bards are arcane, so...
Oh yes, one more thing. If it's not too late, DM Chubbleston, I'd like to switch her goddess back to Shelyn - I know it's an Osirian campaign, but her focus of art, beauty and love of life is just the right fit.

DM Chubbleston |

I'm cool with any change until lvl two. ty for letting me know. I'm also ok to say your spells are divine source rather than arcane. the only thing that would change though is a divne focus rather than material. I've done that switch for someone before. and make sure to make the Background adjustments on your character sheet.

Rani Doompalm |

I understand your point and mostly agree with it Neve. I cannot find the rule in Pathfinder: does it enforce the divine/Arcane divide for spell-activation magic items? I.E. is there a difference between an Arcane Cure Light Wounds wand vs a divine one? So say a bard or witch can make/use the former but not the latter. It's always up to how the DM wishes to play it of course.
I don't think it would be unbalancing to allow any class use any Spell completion items that was on their list regardless of the source. However in some settings it would not fit. (Scarred Lands comes to mind.)
Edit: Just looked at Detect Magic in Pathfinder carefully and I see it doesn't mention source at all, just identifies strength, school, and sometimes the individual caster (Greater version). I say that Neve's on the right track, but Rani's not good at sorting out divine info so say he has a view widely held i.e. there a difference by source, but it may not be true.

Cool - and will do! Thanks.
The rule of thumb is if it is on your spell list you can use the wand, that the way I always played.
Same here.

Whew! Missed a lot last night. As soon as I got home, my sons started begging me to take them fishing, so that ended up blowing up the whole evening. :)
Post is up now. Sorry for the delay.

So are we going speed then? Me and Neve are for it. Anyone wanting to go slow? I just want to at least see what the inside looks like.
What time does it get dark?

Sefanit: Love it! Very Clint Eastwood
"There's two kinds of people, my friend: those with loaded guns in tombs, and those who dig... You dig."

as the light falls the rest of the way down it fall next to a skeleton at the bottom of the pit. (not moving. dead person skeleton, I wanted to be clear lol.)
Yeah, that could get confusing.
Still.
At least you didn't say there's a gazebo.

Hey folks, just letting you know, I'm going out of town from Thursday morning through Sunday. I don't think I'll have much opportunity to post in that time frame.

DM Chubbleston |

I want to say I'm sorry due to extenuating circumstances that were not foreseen I wont be able to play any Pbp for about 2-3 months. in another week I will have to stop. so I decided it would be better letting people know now than continue posting. if anyone wants to take over I would recommend it I chose good people I felt in the campaigns and I'm sorry for letting everyone down. I take my obligations seriously and am not the type of person that will just drop without at least trying to explain. those that didn't know I was a stay at home husband so I had a lot of free time on my plate however me and my wife bought a house dirt cheep as a investment and I need to renovate it before we move in top to bottom. I have done this before, because if you can, sweat equity is the best (my father was a custom home builder/contractor so I can redo anything in a house). because I've been through this before I know what is involved and I will not have the time or the inclination (even though its for fun) to get on when I will be dead tired. I have met many really awesome people in these forums and I am grateful to meet all of you and playing with you. I hope to see you all again in a few months when things calm down.

@ All - Sooooo NOT surprised, never felt the DM was fully invested in this campaign.
First thing to determine does the group want to stay together or not? This is one of the best groups of role-players I've seen so it would be nice if continuing was possible.
After that is there someone not currently involved that wants to step up as DM - anybody know anyone?
After that is there one of us that would?
Let's just start with that.

I just got back from six weeks in Reno, what'd I miss?
/reads
Aww, man!
I'm honestly not sure if I should continue. Another game that I thought was winding down has gotten new legs, so I might be at capacity. If I don't answer back in the affirmative by the end of the week, figure I'm out, sorry.
GM, good luck getting the house up and running. As an un-handy guy, I find that the least appealing aspect of homeownership.

@DM Chubbleston: Thanks for everything and good luck with the house. That sort of thing is a huge project.
@Veshly: DMs volunteer a great deal of time and effort when running a campaign. Players are not entitled to that time and effort. Chubbs has other things going on now and can't continue. He informed us of this. Your comment was rude and ungrateful.
@All: I'm fine with the idea of looking for a new DM if everyone wants to continue. I'd really like to keep this campaign alive.
There is a third option if Chubbs would be open to the idea: Putting the campaign on hiatus for the 2 -3 months he will be busy and picking up again when he's ready. I've seen it work before.
