I'm sorry for my extended radio silence; the end of the year slowdown I was expecting at work did not happen (instead, I got the opposite).
Hoping things calm down after the holidays, and I'm still very excited to get into things with Brias.
GM Kartari
Dang cell phone, that was supposed to be 10 not 20
. Oh well
LOL. The NPCs covered the cost anyway, so no worries. ;)
GM Kartari
No worries, Brias. The holidays are a slow posting time for many.
Happy New Year everyone!
GM Kartari
Hope everyone's doing well. I'm recovering from COVID, but have been on the mend and should move both game threads along either later today or tomorrow the latest.
GM Kartari
Thanks! Just coughing and a slight headache now. Lets move this game along now...
Brias
Oof. Sorry you've been/you were sick, GM. I am very familiar with that.
Catching up and working on Brias tonight.
GM Kartari
Thanks! Yeah, unfortunately it's been going around again.
GM Kartari
Hey all. Had a busy past week and weekend. I'll try to post one of these week nights.
GM Kartari
Hey everyone. Sorry about that long absence! I'll get some posts in right now.
I've been having a very busy time with work lately. I'm hoping things clear up by end of month.
GM Kartari
Haha. Actually though, your bonus is +11 (not +8), so that's a 14.
GM Kartari
Aliseya did so well, she had a vision! I wonder who she's talking about... ;)
Rhia and Zelda are free to comment, ask her questions, etc., before we move forward.

I thought work would abate by now, but alas... Probably another few weeks of this, then I'm hoping to get back to posting at least once a week or more.
I'll be back tonight to post.
GM Kartari
Zelda - I did not forget my promise: you get to draw two cards this time. Here's why if you don't recall... And wow, was it really five years ago that I took over this game from our previous GM? Feels like only two or three...
I'll have Ali read each card separately (will post the one you rolled already when I get a chance).
GM Kartari
Everyone - You've probably guessed (or read my game rules LOL), but I am indeed using the optional Harrow Points rule for this game (see the Carrion Crown Player's Guide, pages 13-14). I'm tracking everyone's current points in the Campaign tab.
GM Kartari
Busy weekend, and this will be a busy week for me. But I should be able to post over the weekend.
In the meantime, please don't wait for me to post Zelda's card reading to post your own rolls for your own card. I'll post all card readings over the weekend in the order you post your rolls.
GM Kartari
Hope everyone's doing well. Apologies for the long delay: busy couple of weeks and weekends. I believe I should be able to get back to posting within the next week, next weekend looks likely. In the meantime, only one player has posted dice rolls so, unless you don't want a card (and its in-game bonus), please roll before I post again! I want to get the card readings done in one shot. Have a great week.
GM Kartari
Sorry for the long absence again. Been very busy even on weekends, even this one!
I'll definitely try moving this game along as soon as possible. I'll try to get some posts in during one of the upcoming week nights... will see!

Looks sheepishly around the room.
I, ah, apologize for how long I have been away. I had some personal issues, and then I was dissociating hard, and then I was dreading coming back because my brain convinces me regularly that everyone hates me.
I just want to say sorry for leaving you all with no explanation as to what happened to me for six months.
Thank you for having welcomed me to your table, and I'm sorry I did not work out as a player. I'm taking a break from the forums for a while and wish you lovely folks success and adventure as you play.
GM Kartari
Hey Brias. Thanks for checking in and letting us know. To be clear, nobody here hates you, of course. I get the need to take a break for personal issues. I was wondering if my infrequent posting was the problem, LOL. It was brief, but I enjoyed your character while it lasted. Be well.

Much appreciated, GM. No, 'twas not you. 'Twas my traitorous brain. :)

A few months of la de da, and then... WAKE UP!!! DEATH IS HERE!!! :D
Yeah, TBH it's time to cull the NPCs. Most GMs just let PCs disappear when their players go MIA, and every character I guess mysteriously forgets them somehow. But I like covering how the parting is done in-story. The downside is I can end up NPCing, like, 8 ex-PCs for a while, LOL.
We might lose a PC if we're not careful, too... :o
Everyone has rolled initiative now, I'll try to update the game over the weekend.
GM Kartari
Apologies for the long absence. Work again, as usual. I'll try to dedicate some time by the weekend the latest to update the game.
Hope everyone's having a nice summer.
GM Kartari
Sorry again, still very busy. I just got a post up for the only two party members to beat a 21 initiative. Have to stop now, but I will try my best to get the enemies' turn in later today! You'll all get to go after that upcoming post.

I am pretty sure they don't take sneak attack damage butttt just in case I have added it in
GM Kartari
Actually, that was true in D&D 3/3.5e, but Pathfinder did away with that rule. Undead are indeed subject to sneak attack damage.
GM Kartari
Hey everyone. Sorry for the extra long absence. I'll update the game either Saturday or Sunday for sure. Hope everyone's doing well.
GM Kartari
Be back later to do Naught's turn and then, at long last, the enemies' turn.
GM Kartari
To clarify who is left: the 3 PCs are left standing (Fulk, Rhia, and Zelda) along with the NPCs Christoph and Sookie.
Ali and Naught disappeared with the green hag. Brias and Drogeda appear to have been burnt to death. Istivan appears to have been slain with a sword through his chest by a robed masked creepy person. And Suny also disappeared a round earlier with another robed masked creepy person.
Regarding the disappearances, your characters don't really know exactly what happened. Are they invisible? Are they ethereal? Did they teleport somewhere else? Something else...?
Anyone trained in Spellcraft can make a check to possibly identify the spells as they were cast. It's not an easy check, but it's a free action so what the heck.
Or if trained in Knowledge (Arcana), you could also make a check to identify their lingering magic auras (if you want to cast detect magic during combat first, though).
GM Kartari
Hey Zelda - You can make two rapier attacks per full round attack as an 8th level rogue. Go ahead and roll a second rapier attack. That's in addition to your two-hand weapon fighting with rapier and short sword, so you can do two rapier attacks (second one at -5) plus a short sword attack.
You actually have the stats in your stat block spoiler. :) Though you wrote there "+13, +7" but I think it should be +13 and +8 instead.
GM Kartari
Sorry about the extra long delay there. Been having a lot going on.
I'm going to try picking the pace up. Worst case scenario, I should be back to a better posting rate by mid-December the latest.
GM Kartari
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving (if you celebrated).
This is my last week on a challenging client project at my day job. I will have less work stress for the rest of December, hopefully well into January (not sure when the next project will start yet). So while it'll be the holidays, I'll have more time to post here. Depending on everyone else's schedule, I'll shoot for a post per weekend. Hopefully come January, my next project will not keep me away from here as much, so I can continue to keep up that pace. :)
As a reminder, please keep your current HP updated in your profile stat block. For example, 53/63 if you have 63 hp total but took 10 damage. This way I can quickly spot where you're at without having to go back and reread my posts, thanks!
