SO, I have been inspired by an anime once again.
concept- normal fantasy, except there is no magic, (magic items are there though) but the player characters have no access to spells of any kind, (includes magical healing) class abilities such as LoH and channel are still usable.
PC death means expulsion from the game, no rerolls, no revives, I want to emphasize death is death.
you can either make a character from an image I give you for 2 extra traits, or 4 extra Build points, or make one of your own using a 25pt build or focus foible. (one 18, one 8, roll 1d10+8 for the rest of your stats)
starting level is 3, you would have at least heard of each other before.
still fleshing things out but I want to see if there is any interest for this before I continue.

haven't seen log horizon, so will have to add it to my to watch list, the others are great, I also cannot wait for the Season 2 this summer, that along with attack on titan haha.
also, to semblance certain aspects I will be changing a couple feats around.
1. Everyone gains power attack for free.
2. I am considering testing out an Idea of mine for this, a new action, in the fluff role of a skill. certian feats would become these skills, ideas would be- power attack, cleave, penetrating strike, vital strike and others of this line. As you leveled up, you would be able to activate more of these skills at one time. I am still working this idea out and would welcome any feedback that you come up with for integrating it into a mostly pathfinder mechanics game.
GM_Rorek
@havoc
I would certainly allow that if that is what you want. I myself am still working on things but decided I wanted to make sure I had interested parties before I put more time into something that came to nothing.
Animator- hey now, don't go so morbid, I am trying to get interest not run it away :P haha.
GM_Rorek
potions are allowed, as there are potions in SAO,
I am more along the lines of no spells. So wizards are really not a good class for this.
I am thinking along the lines of-
no spells, (this includes scrolls and wands, though potions of certain things will be allowed)
Class abilities that heal such as channel and LoH will be allowed, to make up for lost spells I am thinking of giving something else, not sure though.
-Things I am considering
for cleric- full BaB and HD, free craft potion feat.
paladin/ranger- feat every even level starting at 4th.
It will be an openish world, the plot of the story won't be really similar to SAO, unless everyone interested wants that :/. I was thinking of a quest to save the world as the main arc, but with several other things possible to do.

I'm just wondering what kind of enemies should we expect? Because without magic some enemies would just be unfair.
Also some ideas,
- max hp per level: without healing those extra hit points are critical
- possibly using the Feats Reforged PDF from TPK Games: frees up some feat space since we can't rely on buffs
Edit:
By using an image you give us do you mean we'd pick from a selection of images or you'd pick one for us?
Tsiron Ragmar
Crimson Palace yeah.
Klein and Agil FTW!
Though, question: Will we be in a video game, or actual fantasy world, or what?
Cool idea, for sure. I'm guessing combat feats will pretty much be Sword Skills?
Alright, I'm gonna roll focus/foible, and if it's less than 25 pts., I will do 25 pts.
1d10 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
1d10 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
1d10 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
1d10 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Definitely keeping that O.O
GM_Rorek
@ Tsiron, that, I will actually leave up to you as players, its simple to do either way, play characters playing a game, or just play your characters in normal fantasy.
yes, Power attack will be considered a "sword skill" as will others, I may even create a couple of my own "feats".
max hp sounds good, take it.
@havoc, I would give you a selection of 3 images, of which you would use one.
Aleron
Log Horizon gets high accolades from me as well. Definitely worth a watch. Different focus, but definitely in a good way.
3rd party content alright? This seems like a game that Swordmaster (by Dreadfox Games) would be perfect for. Even if not you might want to look it over for ideas (I mean the main class ability is called Sword Arts after all...)

Me and other characters have, from other games, if I can use that as part of my story.
anyway stats will read
18 str
18 con (16 after racials) (that was a lucky roll)
15 dex (17 after racials)
13 int (15 after racials)
11 wis
8 cha

again as for setting thats up to players interested, everyone vote.
combat feats like power attack, twf, vital strike, dodge, ect will be given buffs, but will cost a skill slot, skill slots are gained every 2 levels, there will be ways to gain more but I haven't had time to figure out the best way for this to happen.
GM_Rorek
examples of feat changes
power attack- reduce the penalty by 2. (so at level 1-11 there is no penalty)
TWF- reduces all twf penalties to 0. (improved twf gives same benefits as normal, just the extra attack)
vital strike- increase weapons damage by x2. (all attacks)
dodge- increase ac by +1 for every 4 levels, (dodge bonus)
shield focus- increase shield AC by +1 for every 4 levels
weapon focus- increase attack bonus by +1 for every 4 levels
just examples, still working on others.

=================
Special Abilities
=================
Rage (12): A barbarian can call upon inner reserves of strength and ferocity, granting her additional combat prowess. Starting at 1st level, a barbarian can rage for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + her Constitution modifier. At each level after 1st, she can rage for 2 additional rounds. Temporary increases to Constitution, such as those gained from rage and spells like bear's endurance, do not increase the total number of rounds that a barbarian can rage per day. A barbarian can enter rage as a free action. The total number of rounds of rage per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours do not need to be consecutive. While in rage, a barbarian gains a +4 morale bonus to her Strength and Constitution, as well as a +2 morale bonus on Will saves. In addition, she takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase to Constitution grants the barbarian 2 hit points per Hit Dice, but these disappear when the rage ends and are not lost first like temporary hit points. While in rage, a barbarian cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration. A barbarian can end her rage as a free action and is fatigued after rage for a number of rounds equal to 2 times the number of rounds spent in the rage. A barbarian cannot enter a new rage while fatigued or exhausted but can otherwise enter rage multiple times during a single encounter or combat. If a barbarian falls unconscious, her rage immediately ends, placing her in peril of death.
Big Game Hunter: A titan mauler gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC in melee with creatures larger than themselves.
Jotungrip: At 2nd level, a titan mauler may choose to wield a two-handed weapon in one hand with a –2 penalty on attack rolls while doing so. The weapon must be appropriately sized for her, and it is treated as one-handed when determining the effect of Power Attack, Strength bonus to damage, and the like.
Massive Weapons: t 3rd level, a titan mauler becomes skilled in the use of massive weapons looted from her titanic foes. The attack roll penalty for using weapons too large for her size is reduced by 1, and this reduction increases by 1 for every three levels beyond 3rd (to a minimum of 0).
Powerful Blow: The barbarian gains a +1 bonus on a single damage roll. This bonus increases by +1 for every 4 levels the barbarian has attained. This power is used as a swift action before the roll to hit is made. This power can only be used once per rage.
Tiefling Variant Ability #16: You have over-sized limbs, allowing you to wield large-sized weapons without penalty.
Scaled Skin, Fire: The skin of these tieflings provides some energy resistance, but is also as hard as armor. Choose one of the following energy types: cold, electricity, or fire. A tiefling with this trait gains resistance 5 in the chosen energy type and also gains a +1 natural armor bonus to AC. This racial trait replaces fiendish resistance.
Vestigial Wings: Some tieflings possess a pair of undersized, withered, or stunted wings like a mockery of those of their fiendish forbearer. Sometimes these wings are leathery, like those of a bat. Other times they are covered with a scattering of black, red, or violet feathers. Rare manifestations can take even more bizarre forms. These wings do not provide the lift required for actual flight, but do have enough power to aid flight attained by some other method, and grant a +4 racial bonus on Fly skill checks. This racial trait replaces skilled.
Weapon Focus, Greatsword: You gain a +1 bonus on all attack rolls you make using the selected weapon.
Two-Weapon Fighting
Phew. That was a lot of work!
havoc xiii
Titan mauler doesn't actually let you wield a larger weapon. You could use a large bastard sword if you had exotic profficeny bastard sword. It doesn't allow you to break the required hands bit. So with the tiefling variant you can wield a large longsword and with jotingrip it could be a huge longsword.
It's irritating but que será será.

SO, I have been inspired by an anime once again.
Wait a second, what does Sons of Anarchy have to do with anime?
That show is awesome by the way.And wouldn't that be a realistic fiction theme?
Edit: I've seen so many anime shows, and I'm probably having a brain fart, but just want to be clear what we are talking about.
If it is sons of anarchy, I haven't seen every episode, but i know it well enough.
If it is anime, I'll have to rack up my brain.

Just to be clear, taking a picture does not affect whether or not we can use rolls or use the buy point? Would taking a picture force me to give up all those rolls? Because the way you have it worded is confusing.
Jax still remembers the other PCs though he adventured with, he is still Jax, he just went through a image change of some sort if he does.
