Ideally we want Janosz to start it off by putting a couple of arrows into the warforged titan, followed by a charge from the rest of us.

Init:
Gil 23 Invisibility, Fly, Bless, Extended Haste
Rodergo 19 Airwalk, Invisibility Sphere, Bless, Righteous Might, Extended Haste
Janosz 16 Airwalk, Invisibility Sphere, Bless, Gravity Bow, Longstrider, Extended Haste
Haladon 14 Airwalk, Invisibility Sphere, Bless, Divine Favor, Extended Haste
Kazadar 10+ Airwalk, Invisibility Sphere, Bless, Righteous Might, Divine Power, Extended Haste
Arcane Ballista 10-
Ez 5+ Greater Invisibility, Overland Flight, Bless, See Invisibility, Arcane Sight, Extended Haste
Lightbringer 5 Airwalk, Invisibility Sphere (centered), Bless, Bull's Strength, Weapon of Awe, Ironskin, Extended Haste

79/79 hp, 0 nonlethal; Effects: ; Perception +16, vs traps +20; Guise: Non-descript male gambler

Sounds like a good plan. Should the group be beyond the glass before Janosz starts the party?

hp 73 of 156; AC 23 (29); Fort +15, Ref +8, Will +13 Warforged Paladin 9 / Exorcist of the Silver Flame 4; Effects: Bless, Airwalk, Weapon of Awe, Ironskin, Bull’s Strength

Are Kaz and Haladon also planning to charge the titan?

Haste, Divine Power, Air Walk, Death Ward Dwarf Fighter 1 / Cleric 8 / Sovereign Speaker 3; HP 87/116

honestly im not sure if i should charge the titan or something else. i guess the titan. i was thinking about the catapult though.

HPs: 96 / 96, APs: 11/8 Effects: Karnnathi Wizard (Universalist) 12 / Cataclysm Mage 1

My plan at this point is to summon a shadow demon who can fling up to 250 pounds with telekinesis and use that to start firing their living spell artillery at anything and everything. A full keg of beer is 160 pounds, so I figure I can fling at least one per round.

LB, Kaz and Rod take the titan (we need to get it on the floor as quickly as possible) while Jan and Hal keep the warforged busy before they start flanking.

Gil is presumably heading to the ammunition dump to sabotage it. Hopefully that'll keep the other titan occupied with released living spells. We'll have to keep an eye on them if they move toward us.

Ez is on overwatch and battlefield control. Maybe drop some area effect spells on the command post?

79/79 hp, 0 nonlethal; Effects: ; Perception +16, vs traps +20; Guise: Non-descript male gambler

The shadow demon idea is intriguing... Gil is indeed planning to continue her sabotage plan. She will attempt some battlefield control as well, should it make sense.

hp 73 of 156; AC 23 (29); Fort +15, Ref +8, Will +13 Warforged Paladin 9 / Exorcist of the Silver Flame 4; Effects: Bless, Airwalk, Weapon of Awe, Ironskin, Bull’s Strength

Sounds like a plan.

Abandoning stealth, Lightbringer surges forward in the air, high enough up to clear the catapult, charging towards the towering titan, his sword swinging.

As an immediate action, LB activates Good Devotion, granting himself and allies within – feet at the start of his turn DR 3/evil for 1 minute and making their attacks count as good for overcoming damage reduction. Airwalking charge to N7, 15 feet up, attack titan.
power attack charge: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (3) + 24 = 27 damage: 2d6 + 23 ⇒ (4, 1) + 23 = 28

Haste, Divine Power, Air Walk, Death Ward Dwarf Fighter 1 / Cleric 8 / Sovereign Speaker 3; HP 87/116

Kazadar charges to K/L-8/9 (15ft up) and attacks the titan as well.

swift action give himself weapon focus and this is a vital strike and power attack

attack: 1d20 + 19 + 2 + 4 - 1 - 2 + 1 + 1 - 3 ⇒ (7) + 19 + 2 + 4 - 1 - 2 + 1 + 1 - 3 = 28
damage: 4d6 + 10 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 4) + 10 + 4 + 6 = 36

Hp 92 of 92; AC 28 (29); Fort +13; Ref +9 (+10); Will +18 Human Male Cleric 7/ Exorcist of the Silver Flame 6; effects: Bless, Airwalk

Rodergo will cast a circular blade barrier centred on grid intersection I/J/13/14; it will have a 25 foot radius. This should contain W10, W11, W12, W13, W14, W15, and W16. It will either contain or chop through W17, W2 and W3 and might chop W1 (GM call). I note that the blade barrier will also pass through the catapult’s square and the glass wall. I will leave it up to the GM as how a wall of whirling blades of pure force interacts with these elements. damage: 11d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 3, 5, 6, 6, 3, 5, 5, 1, 4) = 45; DC 21 Reflex save for half if they try to pass through or avoid damage on successful save if the wall appears in their square.

Rod then moves (airwalks) to P/Q/10/11 staying 25 feet up in the air at this point.

hp 73 of 156; AC 23 (29); Fort +15, Ref +8, Will +13 Warforged Paladin 9 / Exorcist of the Silver Flame 4; Effects: Bless, Airwalk, Weapon of Awe, Ironskin, Bull’s Strength

Janosz makes a full attack on the warforged titan using rapid shot, many shot, deadly aim and precise shot.
attack 1: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (18) + 19 = 37 damage: 4d6 + 22 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 6) + 22 + (2) + (2) = 41
attack 2: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (3) + 19 = 22 damage: 2d6 + 11 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1, 3) + 11 + (1) + (2) = 18
attack 3: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34 damage: 2d6 + 11 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 11 + (3) + (6) = 29
attack 4: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25 damage: 2d6 + 11 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 11 + (5) + (4) = 24
attack 5 (haste): 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (14) + 19 = 33 damage: 2d6 + 11 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 11 + (1) + (3) = 22
The two additional 1d6’s are fire and electricity damage.

Possible crit on attack 3:
crit confirm: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34 damage: 4d6 + 22 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 4) + 22 = 39

79/79 hp, 0 nonlethal; Effects: ; Perception +16, vs traps +20; Guise: Non-descript male gambler

Does Janosz have clustered shots? I thought he did, to overcome DR.

hp 73 of 156; AC 23 (29); Fort +15, Ref +8, Will +13 Warforged Paladin 9 / Exorcist of the Silver Flame 4; Effects: Bless, Airwalk, Weapon of Awe, Ironskin, Bull’s Strength

Uh ... yeah, he does, sorry, missed that.

Should be Hal's turn next but I'll have to wait until Aubrey gives the results of the blade barrier on W17, W2, W3, and W1 to see where he should focus.

The Map

The slow approach comes to an end and battle is joined! Lightbringer and Kazadar crash into the titan, their weapons smashing down. Rodergo summons a wall of blades, tearing several of the defenders to ribbons and sending shards of glass flying in all directions. Then Janosz fires a blizzard of arrows into the huge warforged, and the lights in its eyes go out. The Blade Barrier tears at the catapult and one of its supports collapse. It keels over, useless for any more attacks.

Titan 1 and Warforged 2, 3, 11, 12, 16 and 17 down. Not bad for an opening attack.

Hal is next. Map updated. Everyone apart from Gil should be visible now.

HPs: 96 / 96, APs: 11/8 Effects: Karnnathi Wizard (Universalist) 12 / Cataclysm Mage 1

And Ez who is under greater invisibility.

Haladon airwalks over the glass shards to grapple with his enemy and calling for the Silver Flame's aid.

Move: Airwalk to Q13. Maintaining height to gain benefit from higher ground.
Standard: activate divine bond to make my blade a +1 flaming burst keen flametouched iron longsword . (Couldnt activate earlier otherwise the light from the sword would have given away our invisibility.)

Map updated.

Kaz.

hp 73 of 156; AC 23 (29); Fort +15, Ref +8, Will +13 Warforged Paladin 9 / Exorcist of the Silver Flame 4; Effects: Bless, Airwalk, Weapon of Awe, Ironskin, Bull’s Strength

Where to next Kaz? Do we mop up over here or move onto the next big targets?

Haste, Divine Power, Air Walk, Death Ward Dwarf Fighter 1 / Cleric 8 / Sovereign Speaker 3; HP 87/116

im thinking either the other catapult or the catapult command post. i can get to either, i assume you can as your speed is either as good or better than mine. what does the command post look like? a general's tent, or a more magi-technical thing? trying to prioritize targets.

hp 73 of 156; AC 23 (29); Fort +15, Ref +8, Will +13 Warforged Paladin 9 / Exorcist of the Silver Flame 4; Effects: Bless, Airwalk, Weapon of Awe, Ironskin, Bull’s Strength

We know - or assume - that the warforged alchemist will be in the command tent, but we don't know what else would be in there. Might be good to take on the commander, but we know we can probably take out the titan in one round - rolls permitting - and would be good to do so before it gets a chance to hit us. Maybe we take the command tent and others aim to take out the titan from range?

Also, I think Gil and/or Ez are aiming to target the ammo dump in some manner?

The command post is more a hasty lean-to than anything else.

79/79 hp, 0 nonlethal; Effects: ; Perception +16, vs traps +20; Guise: Non-descript male gambler

The plan was for Gil to strike at the ammo dump. We still have telepathy among much of the group if a change of plans needs to be worked out.

HPs: 96 / 96, APs: 11/8 Effects: Karnnathi Wizard (Universalist) 12 / Cataclysm Mage 1

"Remember, Darkheart is almost certainly here. I will use their ammo to take out any siege equipment or titans left standing. Beware of getting enveloped by any spells unleashed in the blasts."

79/79 hp, 0 nonlethal; Effects: ; Perception +16, vs traps +20; Guise: Non-descript male gambler

"I will enhance my invisibility before I start working on my part of the plan. I will direct my attention according to what I see you doing."

Haste, Divine Power, Air Walk, Death Ward Dwarf Fighter 1 / Cleric 8 / Sovereign Speaker 3; HP 87/116

"Then the command post it is." he transmits telepathically, then casts Flame Strike on the hasty lean-to.

half fire half divine: 11d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 4, 6, 2, 1, 5, 5, 6, 6) = 47 DC 22 reflex halves. Cylinder spells ignore obstruction in their area, so they wont get cover from it.

Who's next?

HPs: 96 / 96, APs: 11/8 Effects: Karnnathi Wizard (Universalist) 12 / Cataclysm Mage 1

The arcane ballista, but the init chart is about to have some new entries.

Gil 23
Arcane Ballista 20+
Lightbringer 20-
Rodergo 19
Janosz 16
Haladon 14
Kazadar 10+
Ez 5+

Not exactly the most structurally-sound looking structure, the command post explodes satisfyingly as Kazadar's spell hits it.

Actually, Ez is next.

was there anyone inside?

Hard to tell now that it's a pile of corrugated iron.

Ez.

I thought I posted over here yesterday, but maybe I got distracted and just left the window open.

As his summoning draws to a close, shadow-like smoke coalesces into a form on the field ahead of him. Wings spread and blazing eyes open amid the darkness. Despite his invisibility, it glares directly at the wizard silently as if it can sense the force that drew it here even if it can't see it. Ezreal's disembodied voice calls out, "Beyond this wall, you will find a stockpile of steel drums. I would have you use them to destroy the giant warmachines, titan first. They should explode on impact.
Go." The shadow spreads its wings and rises up above the field. Ezreal bolsters his own defenses slightly with another spell and ascends to survey the field.

Shadow demon appears in T18.
Flies up to U16, 30 ft elevation.

Demon Telekinesis vs titan touch AC: 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 4 = 18
Ez casts shield and ascends to 40 feet.

HPs: 96 / 96, APs: 11/8 Effects: Karnnathi Wizard (Universalist) 12 / Cataclysm Mage 1

The archers are up next.

Sorry for dragging this one out, I've got some work to do on this encounter and I've been putting it off. I realized an easy way to do it this morning, so we can get moving tonight (or so). Really sorry for all the delays.

In case you are wondering what the Hell is actually going on here, I am making progress. I can only apologise once again for keeping you all waiting, but I am nearly there.

HPs: 96 / 96, APs: 11/8 Effects: Karnnathi Wizard (Universalist) 12 / Cataclysm Mage 1

No worries. When it comes together we'll be here.

Arrows begin to rain down.

All visible PCs, please make a DC 15 Reflex save or take 2d8+2 damage. You take half damage on a successful save - DR applies.

Gil.

I know what your thinking - I waited a month for that?

Haste, Divine Power, Air Walk, Death Ward Dwarf Fighter 1 / Cleric 8 / Sovereign Speaker 3; HP 87/116

ref: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 damage: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (6, 6) + 2 = 14 half damage, DR/2, so LB takes 5 hp.

Hp 92 of 92; AC 28 (29); Fort +13; Ref +9 (+10); Will +18 Human Male Cleric 7/ Exorcist of the Silver Flame 6; effects: Bless, Airwalk

Reflex: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 damage: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (5, 8) + 2 = 15 Half damage, 7hp.

Gil realizes the urgency, but she can I’ll affo to make herself such an obvious target. She holds her position, checking to make sure the fog still obscures her from the living siege engine, and casts greater invisibility on herself.

Sorry, all. Her plans to be in position early and prepared were altered by contact with the enemy, as usual. Next round, she plans to be dispelling in the ammo dump.

For those sharing the telepathic link ”Avoid the ammo dump. I hope to turn their own weapons on them in 3, 2, 1, ...”

79/79 hp, 0 nonlethal; Effects: ; Perception +16, vs traps +20; Guise: Non-descript male gambler

Did the shadow demon’s telekinesis attack get resolved? That was about when Aubrey took a step back to firm up his plans.

Ref save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16 Damage: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (6, 3) + 2 = 11
Half damage (6) plus DR 3/evil = 3

Just a reminder, the only visible characters are LB, Kaz, Rod and Hal. Also, we're under the effect of LB's good devotion feat which grants us DR 3/evil and our attacks are good-aligned for 1 minute.

Haste, Divine Power, Air Walk, Death Ward Dwarf Fighter 1 / Cleric 8 / Sovereign Speaker 3; HP 87/116

ah i see i should have also rolled damage.

2d8 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (3, 2) + 2 - 3 = 4

At the shadow demon's behest, a canister flies at the remaining warforged titan. It clanks off its head, making it stagger, and a brightly coloured ooze crawls out. The glowing thing lashes out at the warforged.

Damage from the canister 5d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 5, 5, 1) = 17
Ooze attack on the titan 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27 to hit, damage 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 plus 7d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 1, 5, 3, 2, 2) = 22 fire and 7d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 2, 2, 5, 1, 1) = 21 cold

I guess it's still Gil's turn.

HPs: 96 / 96, APs: 11/8 Effects: Karnnathi Wizard (Universalist) 12 / Cataclysm Mage 1

vs the arrows, Ez is invisible and the shadow demon is incorporeal.

79/79 hp, 0 nonlethal; Effects: ; Perception +16, vs traps +20; Guise: Non-descript male gambler

I posted that Gil was casting a spell. I thought I was done, but I think I will have her fly upward, also. I need to get to the map and review her current location.
