Between the lot of you, and since you can fish non-stop without interfering with traveling, you manage to catch a nice stock of fresh lake trout for both lunch and supper. Once Rommin has a cozy fire built up on the remains of the old fire ring, Lilo and Hickory take to sizzling up the fish. The aroma is mouth-watering.
You stretch out on the logs to enjoy your fish as Hickory sings some lively and slightly inappropriate songs to accompany the meal.

Lilo laughs uproariously at one particular verse of Hickory's song.."I'm not sure that's even possible in reality" he says..
"Oh.." she replies.."maybe not..but finding out might be fun"

As he peers at the treeline, he turns back just in time to catch his meal fling off, into the water.

Sighing, having heard this all too often in the last few months, turns and says "Friend, while I can see that ye'd be upset at'the loss'O'yer necklace, be assured that I have no use fer it. Thet don't mean that my Brother mightn't a taken a shine ta'it."
looking around for the missing necklace, Finn will (If he finds it), Mage Hand it back to Noche'Wa.

Not understanding the indigenous man, but seeing his gestures at the...necklace around his neck, Finn removes it, taking a better look at it. (Detect Magic)
Turning to the others, he says "Can someone tell'em thet I Dinnit steal this trinket? I've no idea how it got around m'neck..."

Lilo leaps to his feet.."All right" he cries "that's quite enough off that..a jokes a joke but that was just mean and not very funny at all..now show yourselves and I might be persuaded to be lenient.."
"We seem to be under assault by fae folk my friends.."

Lilo hears a giggle, then a small voice calls out, "I'm up here" in Taldane and suddenly Lilo feels himself lift up and float upwards to rest thirty feet above the ground. Lilo begins floating over towards the river, and the voice asks, "Still prepared to be lenient?"
Noche'Wa the Wild Mouse
"Ah! Ah! Ah! That was very funny! Very funny! Good one! We are honored to meet you and to be the target of your craft, gentle spirit. I am Noche'Wa, the mouse that can also play tricks on man!"
Noche'Wa tries to appease the spirits, knowing all too well how much a community is dependent on their good favors. He takes some food from his bag and offers it up: "Would you like to eat something?"
Landis Thatch
"Strange. Quist do nothing to hurt you. Just silly things. Why you swing sword around?"
"Quist is unwise, and does not see how what he does now, influences what happens in the future". "If you keep us from our necessary rest, or draw our attention away, then danger which threatens both us and yourself can be missed". "You pranks may seem harmless to you, but they both aggravate, and can be dangerously distracting to us". "So in a word...cut it out, and find someone else to pick on".
Quist only further proves his ignorance and lack of focus for thinking that this hammer is a sword".

Lilo slowly lowers to the ground (not the river). The buzzing sound is getting louder and closer.
Landis feels wind in his face, and the high-pitched voice seems to be right in front of him. It laughs delightedly. "This one IS funny! This one think Quist stupid! Quist like this one, even though he very angry and rude."
The voice turns back to Landis. "There are many dangers, Angry One, and some are near at hand. Quist come to you in friendship and fun, and for asking of help, but Quist not ask help of those not able to give help. Distractions are many. If one Quist distract too much, maybe you not be helping Quist."

"And maybe we help those who come to us in friendship, and greeting, not tormenting and tricking", Landis says lowering his Cold Iron Warhammer, realizing that the fey found this metal to be intimidating.

"And if you've been all around the world, and seen all kinds of customs, then you've only proven that you set out to intentionally antagonize us". "For if you knew our ways you wouldn't approach us like you did.

You hear giggling from above. "No, you no find Quist that way. Quist too fast."
Indeed, just as Finn gets a magical aura to register, it's gone before he can concentrate on it long enough to pinpoint its location.
"No look for Quist, friends. Look to the trees."
The buzzing sound is getting louder, a low constant hum that. If Quist is really moving about as quickly as Finn's spell suggests, it doesn't make sense for it to be the source of the buzzing. The sound seems to be coming from the north, though also the north west and north east.

Noche'Wa moves to the water's edge, checking if the waters are calm enough. He wonders whether standing in it would protect him from insects, if insects are what's coming...

ROUND 1
Lilo hauls Hickory to her feet as he turns towards the sounds of approaching danger.
Rommin didn't declare an action, so drawing weapons and readying, I assume?
Finn and Noche'Wa both cast spells in preparation. And then...
out of the night buzz 10 large creatures, almost like giant mosquitoes. Two of them come barreling into Rommin (he can have a readied attack against one of them, and an AoO against either one of them if he has a melee weapon). They attempt to grab onto him and pierce him with their long proboscises. Assuming they survive...
Stirge 1 touch attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 Success. Inflicts 1 point of Constitution damage
Stirge 3 touch attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 Failed.
Other stirges are nearby. Another flies at Landis (no AoO as he hasn't acted yet).
Stirge 6 touch attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 Success...except...the stirge fails to hold on as Landis is covered in grease. No damage. Landis is certain he hears a giggle from high up somewhere as the stirge slips off.
Up next: Landis, Hickory, Lilo

Good point. Since it failed the grapple, it would be in the square just north of him, rather than his square.
Landis Thatch
I know it didn't suceed anyway, but just to clear things up, was the attack a touch attack due to Landis not acting yet? If so then the Uncanny Dodge ability, would have kicked in, and made Landis AC 18.
Landis steps sideways away from the heat of the spell, and swings Demon's Fate at Stirge 10.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 Warhammer attack
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 Warhammer Damage
Nazard
Rommin's crit doesn't confirm, but it's still enough to make the critter go splat. The second creature gets through, but fails to hit and inflicts no damage, so Rommin's still at full health.
These creatures just make touch attacks, not because he hadn't acted. Their method of attack is to start a "grapple" at which point they inflict 1 point of Con damage per round. They don't actually have a damage causing attack.
Landis pulverizes the one coming at him, covering himself and his hammer with insect gore.
Hickory begins to sing, granting +1 attack and damage bonuses all around.
ROUND 2
Lilo steps forward and unleashes a blast of fire on two of the stirges.
Reflex 6: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Reflex 7: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Reflex 8: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
All three stirges are burnt to cinders by the magical flames, dropping to the ground in little piles of ash.
Up next: Rommin, Finn, Noche'Wa
Stirges 1, 6, 7, 8, and 10 are gone. Lilo moved to L28.
