Character Creation
Characters are level 1, standard money for class. Any race from core rulebook, any class except gunslinger.
Stat Generation
uses the focus/foible system where you pick your primary stat, it is an 18, pick your dump stat, it is an 8. Next you roll 1d10+7 four times in order. Then add all racial modifiers.
So if I am playing a fighter.
Primary Stat Str 18
Dump Stat Cha 8
Dex 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Con 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Int 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Wis 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Magic
the magic system will be Elements of Magic.
Elements of Magic
Your casting stat must be at least equal to amount of Magic points of a spell you want to cast.
Your Wisdom bonus grants extra spell lists
Your Intelligence bonus grants extra signature spells
Your Charisma bonus grants X2 extra Magic points
Classes from Elements of Magic will not be used.

I recomend that you all look at 10 Min background. I do not expect you to necessarily use all of it but it is a good way to get a good background for your character.
Also the campaign will be starting in a small town along the Turandian coast. Elithas is a fishing town with about 2000 people, it has a low stone wall around the town. The harbour is large for the size of the town but other than the old tower at the end of the breakwater is rather undefended. It has a permenant garrison of 50 men-at-arms led by Sir Villiam, an older man with the look of a career soldier. The town is dominated by an ancient manor house in the center of town, at the north end of the central square. A young baron, Harold the bold, lives there, but his power is really in the hands of the leaders of the merchant guild in the town.

Testing this Alias Stufff- Not very intuitive Oo
Note To future Players: If you Go into your profile, go to message board aliases and create a new one, you can then switch between characters on your single profile. So My PastyDeath Profile has a Gordy Dupuis alias (presumably for message boards) and I just created Tasyn.
IF YOU PUT STATS ON YOUR MAIN PROFILE, make sure you transfer them over to your alias! I suggest only putting the stats in the alias, which I didn't do 'cuz I didn't know what was up
Ill add more as I discover more

Character Creation Walk Through:
NOTE: The Bold Wirting Is for people very familiar with the system, If you wan't a review and a fast way of making a character, follow the steps. If you just want a light guide and have your own way, follow the bold
1) Look at the websites resources, It contains everything you need from every book to make a character. Although you should check out Browman's resources for spell casters, I'de look at that only after you completed everything i'll outline below.
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/
^ HAS EVERYTHING! Races, Classes, Advanded, Prestige, etc. Just remember, no gun slinger, and only the core races (Gnome, Halfelf, halforc, human, halfling, Dwarf).
2) After you know what you want, grab a pen and some paper, and make a post rolling stats, first identifying your good stat (with an 18) and a bad stat (with an 8).
To roll, it is dice in [] followed by the dice you want (Ex:1d10+7) followed by /dice in []. Beside the roll, write the stat you will allocate that roll to. Copy these down (after you post) for your own record, to make a character sheet!
EX:
18 : STR
8 : DEX
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 Con
Etc...
After you figure all this out, THEN you may apply all racial modifiers to the roll. So, humans and half elves can +2 to any skill, while other races have their stats pre-determined (Ex: Halfling +2 Dex, +2 Cha, -2 Str)
3) Now for your other stats;
Speed: Medium is 30 Feet, Small is 20 Feet
Start with HP- the Dice roll is indicated with the class info, though I presume, like D&D, your first HP roll ever is an automatic maximum. Don't Forget to add you Constitution Bonus.
NOTE: For Multiclassing in This game, You choose your favorite class, and instead of being penalized for off-class, you lose out on a reward for staying in class. The Reward is an extra HP OR an extra skill point at each level. So you may also add a hit point, if you don't want a skill point
AC: Initially is 10+ your Dex modifier, So start with 10+Dex and leave room to add to your armour etc. later
Fort/Ref/Will: Is your Classes 1st Level Modifier for the roll, plus your ability modifier (Con/Dex/Wis respectively)
BA: Your Attack Bonus, as indicated by class
CMB/CMD: These stats are a simplifies system of grappling/combat- CMB is BA+Str+Size, While CMD is 10+BA+Str+Dex+Size.In short, to successfully perform a combat maneuver, your CMB roll must beat the enemy's CMD
Languages: Look at your starting set, and for every +1 on your intelligence modifier, you may take an additional language (options listed in both the Linguistic feat page, as well as racial page). Make note of that somewhere
4)Write out your class skills, and allocate up to a point to each skill. D&D used to start you off with 3(4?)x your skill points+int modifier, and let you place up to 3(4?) in your first level skills. Instead, This system only starts with your initial allocation+int, but the first point in any skill gives a +3 bonus IN ADDITION TO THE POINT, while all others after are a cumulative +1.
So at level one, if you put one point in Handle animal, you gain a +4 (3+ the Point) bonus to that skill. At level two, if you put another point, you only go up to a +4 (3+2 Points).
REMEMBER: If you didn't take a bonus hit-point, you may instead take a bonus skill point for your favorite class. Also note humans get +1 skill points per level, while Half-Elves start with a skill focus (see the feat pages for a full description of that).
5) Racial and Class Skills/Feats:
A) Start with racial bonuses. If you get a bonus feet, skill specialization, Bonuses to Fort/Ref/Will, etc. make note of that now where appropriate.
B) Class Skills: Weapon Use, Armours, Class Skills etc are now all recorded and added where applicable
C) Feats: Now you choose your feats! (Everyone automatically gets one feat at starting level, Fighters get a bonus feat, and humans get a bonus starting feat).
Equipment:
Go to the starting character wealth table, and either roll for your money like a real man, or take the average
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/equipment.html
Then browse the Equipment and take what you need/want.
Note: It appears we will be tracking things like food, etc. So I suggest getting the following (in this order)
A) Main Weapon (Spend no more then 1/3 of gold)
B) Armour (spend no more than 1/2 of Gold)
C) With the Remaining 20-40%, you should get a backpack, some rations or way of finding food, some way to shelter, water (one+ skin) and light
Other:
D) A Class Tool
E) An Off Weapon
F) Vanity Items
Finally, apply any modifiers from your skills to the weapons, or from the armour to your AC, and you should have a complete level 1 character!
If I am wrong or missed anything, please point it out, but using this system in this order, I can do a character in less than 20mins, decisions included

Group Loot
Hey Everyone, because I get bored and do things when DICE AREN'T GETTING ROLLED, I have an idea for starting a Group Loot.
In order that people don't get penalized for using consumables, magic items, potions, etc. necessary for individual classes, I think we should start a group loot pile of 10% of loot found, as well as utility items we find along the adventure. We could keep track of it in this alias.
Now, group loot may inevitably lead to stealing etc. So I also propose an "audit system."
For this, we can keep "Group Loot" as an active system of withdrawing and use (For example, in game if someone takes something from group loot, they can just post it, and we can remove it from the pile until it is used or returned). If, however, someone steals from loot, what we can do is get Browett to note that, and when we do an "audit" of the loot, he can tell us of the changes between what we expected to find (aka this list) and what is present. This alias can be an active list we possess in game, so we can refer to it when doing the audit.
Later on, we can figure out a more elaborate system (use the loot to buy a crazy ass lock which needs 2 keys or something); but for now, if we want the tanks to get heals without spending their gold, the ranger to get ammo without spending his, the paladin/rogue to get wands or scrolls, common equipment (rams, caravan, etc), I think this would be a good start. Opinions in reply!
Edit: If we all agree, I recommend we start with 10-20% of whatever starting gold we have left over(to at least buy a backpack to put s!*+ in) It wont be more than 1-10g/person.

Hey all, I'll get my stats on board. I know a few people are getting a little impatient, but unfortunately my RL is getting in the way of gaming. Crazy, eh?
Stats:
Good: Int(18)
Bad: Cha (8)
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 Str
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 Dex
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 Con
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 Wis
Edit: I'll be playing an elf alchemist btw, thought I'd try something less mainstream.
Newf
Ah still think ur super awesome oO
Ps: didnt look at alch, looks super badas tho
I'm pretty fly for any guy. I'll see where alchemy takes me.
PS- I think the Browman should let us cash in on our space bucks from 40k.
Edit 2: Especially since we're going to wind up with a collective 67g this entire campaign.
PastyDeath
Do any of you actually remember how many space bucks you collected?
I'm sure I have the old sheets kicking around in a binder or clipboard somewhere at home (1 week I can tell you- pretty sure it was in the billions)
I'm looking forward to the campaign, glad to be back with everybody. With wife + job + house + animals this is probably the best method of me being able to play.
Agreed! Say Hello to Wife+Animals+House
Edit 2: Especially since we're going to wind up with a collective 67g this entire campaign.
We can stick it to Browett- well all just max profession and get our characters real jobs and pass the weeks super fast with the money checks, and never adventure and retire with a safe RSP, good benefits and healthcare. HA. That'll show him.

As Vonamir sits down at his desk to finish his current reading, Luna flies onto his shoulder and snuggles the side of his head.
Now I don't wan't to seem closed minded....but snuggle....snuggle....I just don't think society is ready for this kind of relationship, even if your great horny owl is...
Marty McFly
Some background on Dr. McFly, just so you know why he has been released from the high security asylum. This is public knowledge, hence why I'm sharing:
Dr. McFly is an elf alchemist who has been recently released from a high security asylum after being imprisoned for 22 years. An IQ of 204, he is considered a genius beyond geniuses, delving deep into the maddening mysteries of science. His radical studies in science have eroded his ethical and moral boundaries to a near non-existent level.
Dr. McFly was involved in a secret military project for the militia, known as the "Derka Derka" Project. It involved created various types of bombs (fire, acid, hallucinogen, poison gas), attaching them to a delayed fuse and vest, strapping them on prisoners/ commoners and blowing them up amidst enemy forces. Upon public discovery of the project, it was deemed "unethical" (to this day Marty fails to see why), the militia was quick to deny any involvement and an arrest warrant was sent out for Dr. McFly. Unfortunately, Dr. McFly didn't go out without a fight.
The first patrol stormed the lab to find a heavily mutated Dr. McFly, who then ripped apart the poor, unsuspecting, low-ranking soldiers. Morphing back to normal, he calmly grabbed his dagger, ripped open their bodies and implanted acid bombs, placing the corpses in the entrance to his lab. The second patrol was heard screaming amid explosions as they ran away, their faces half melted off. It finally took an experienced, wary section of guards and spell casters to storm the lab and seize Dr. McFly, subsequently chained and sent off to a mental health facility. To this day, the rumours still circulate the village as to the various experiments the militia carried out of his lab.
