Q'lack joins Gribbl in the old house. "PRetty, but no sign of evil..." Just a short one, I borrowed my wifes laptop for half an hour to log on and quickly post in some games.
Find this hilarious. The sign of grown men gaming in the closet, getting a fix wherever you can... borrowing strangers laptops at coffee shops, going to libraries,.. That's exactly me

I will be away for a few days... will have internet access in the evenings but not sure how reliable it will be... just a forewarning that I might be unable to post... if that happens, feel free to bot me as needed.

Yes pleas give me your inputs and criticisms, I really want to know where it could have used improvements, ie more narration, more combat, less downtime etc.
I found the scenario missing gaps in the flow of clue and discovery. The way it's actually written, the mire combat finishes the scenario without the big reveal from Dupin.

Thanks a lot for this game! I think it was a perfect scenario to play the all-frog team in. I loved your description and interactions - you really brought this scenario to life. I especially loved how you customized the scenario for us, and how you "made some room" for our exciting all-frog band!

I found it funny and interesting that Food was a commonality of all your gripplis personas. My cinematic brain played out these David Lynch-esque shots where there's one gripplis standing behind the VC, then she turns to pour coffee and there's two gripplis, double take, three gripllis, pause, grabs pie, four gripplis, drops pie.

I find that a lot of scenarios are missing gaps when looking at it from the player side of the table. The GM gets the whole story but the players just get what's filtered to them. And a lot of times, if the players miss a few knowledge or diplomacy checks, they miss out on even more of the story. Personally, when I GM, I usually fill in all the missing pieces to the players and let them ask questions once the scenario is complete. In this scenario for instance, it sounds like we really wouldn't have known any of the story about what really happened if you hadn't told us. The scenario itself was interesting and I enjoyed it, though the combats seemed pretty easy.

I agree with Sam. Often I add know(history) spoilers for interesting bits of the back story at relevant places.
And sometimes at the end I do a bit of cut and paste from the GMs intro section if folk are interested and it doesn't spoil other scenarios. (most of an issue with series than stand alone ones).

Lithrac, Did you get to run it tabletop that past Sunday?
Player side gaps - Yes I was afraid of that. I felt my GM perspective was clouding that judgement, not knowing that the players 'didn't get it'.
Combat - cake walk. I actually threw in an extra jack o lantern encounter to beef it up. I would have been bored sick with only two encounters otherwise.
We did the game in 6 weeks, with a birth, three major holidays, two afks, GM IRL disaster - not bad considering. I'll get Chronicles out after weekend. Bonus - you guys won all three boons and 2PPs.

Sorry for chiming in so late, but I was at a show all day. I thought you did a great job, your narrative and ability to weave the all-frog element seamlessly into the story was unique and special... really brought it all to life. It did seem a little combat-light, but that's okay with me, the investigative nature of it all more than made up for it.

At least a memorable start to your characters :-) Thanks for playing, I had fun running and reading your posts. The all gripllis really goes well with this scenario - frogmen! I'll do another run in March, get through this winter hump.

I GMed it the week before Christmas - we had a blast! As announced, half the team was grippli too, and what they enjoyed the most in the scenario was the inter-player roleplay. They got interested in the mystery proposed by the scenario, but the point for them (before even starting the session) was to play a specific set of characters who belong to the same "gang".

Thanks for Sam

Nice, I would imagine the hook is more obvious tabletop. Did you have to push to beat 4 hours?

Just noticed, you listed Gribbl as getting 1gp for his day job roll, but he took 10 for an 18, shouldn't that be 10gp? I changed the sheet manually, but just thought you should know - if you want to re-issue, that's fine too.
