Two dwarves, Cearmac and Vezzin, are travelling across the Great Sea in a rather large ship. During the trip the ship is hit by a pirate attack. Somehow the dwarves manage to get into one of the life boats.
So the two dwarves are floating along and lost on the sea. They notice a crate from one of the ship's holds next to their little boat. They manage to pull it aboard, and using a dagger, crack it open. Inside is a small lamp. On a lark, Ceamac pulls it out and rubs it.
Poof. A Djinni appears and gratefully tells Cearmac that for freeing him, he will now grant him one wish.
Cearmac thinks for a moment, and then says "I wish the sea were full of fine dwarvish ale."
The Djinni bows, and the wish is granted. Overjoyed, Cearmac starts scooping the ale up from over the side of the boat and guzzling it out of his helm. After a bit he notcies that Vezzin isn't drinking any.
"Say, Vezzin, what's the problem?"
"Cearmac, you bloody fool, now we have to pee in the boat."
I'm still hovering over like a vulture.
That would be a problem except they aren't the only ones peeing in it.

Understand that you have been extremely swamped and all - but you've been pretty quiet for over a month now.
Also - are you waiting on us to do something further in the current action? Don't know if it's a case that one of us should be doing something more to get a response or action out of this.

An elf, a goblin, and a dwarf have found a genie's lamp. The genie tells them that it will give each of them one wish - whatever they desire will come to pass.
The goblin scratches his head and says "Well, everyone's always killing my people. I wish we had a homeland of our own, where we wouldn't be bothered by other peoples." POOF. The goblin is gone.
Then the elf makes his wish - "I wish my people were restored to the land of our past, to the glory of the old elven empire." POOF. The elf is gone.
Now it's the dwarf's turn. The genie asks him what he wants.
"Er...'scuse me, but did you just teleport all the elves from this land?" The genie nods. "And all the goblins?" It nods again. The dwarf nods sagely.
"I'll have an ale."

Question time from me.
I messaged Dementia/Distinguished Narrator and haven't heard back from him; it's been 2 months since we really put in any real posts. Unless someone else has heard from him, I am concerned about him and this Pbp.
In the past, I have run a Pbp or two, but had to step off unexpectedly due to personal issues, so I empathize. I've also really enjoyed all the RP with this group, and am certainly willing to keep waiting for our DM to return.
Is everyone still on-board with it? Just trying to gauge what's the feel from other folks; apologies if I am repeating myself.

Well DW has dropped off without notice before IIRC, so I won't say definitely this game is dead. That being said, I have forgotten the details of this game what with my other PbP games, not to mention RL as well.
If DW should return, I would make every effort to get back into this game but until then this game is pretty much dead to me.
Ditto. I'm lurking, if someone posts, I'll follow, but I'm not expecting this to start up anytime soon. Guess I'll see y'all 'round the boards.

Yeah I'm lurking too, but it's a shame it has to end. I was really liking my first ever female character + first ever paladin. Would love to have seen the relationship grown between her and Edan. I had an idea of what'd happen at 11th level. Here's the idea.
She was going to take feats to end up with the angelic wings as part of the feats from advanced race guide. She was going to wake him up in the middle of the night, undo her top and before he says anything, turns around to show large lumps on her back where the wings are about to burst and all she tells him is to get a bucket ready and clean the incoming wounds as she fings from cloth to wrap around something hard and bite down, almost screaming as the wings push their way out of her back, breaking through the skin and taking shape. For a moment she has a look of serene peace before collapsing.
Basically the scene was inspired by this from this anime I own.
You know, I still have not gotten around to watching that anime. This Webcomic did something within the bounds of the show, but I still keep forgetting to watch Haibane Renmei.
This was one of the first games that I decided to go with a caster. The choice was rather easy when I saw that I'd be backing a paladin, so I figured, "why not do both at the same time?". That, and the writing between the characters was the best in any game I've been in yet. Normally it just tapers off, and everyone hand-waves the interactions.
Though I will say that the change from Godelina 1.0 to the post-hiatus one was interesting.. It turned Edan from "escort for a clueless paladin that he had little clue he was falling for", to "Servant of Iomedae who would not mind backing this paladin to the end".
That said, if you ever post Godelina up in any recruitment, drop me a line. I'd love to write Edan again, to see how much of the story can change with the setting.
I was also interested in seeing how that relationship turned out. You guys have done a great job with it.
That kind of an event in the aftermath would probably have made Lanten nervous in some ways about 'Lina. There's some history I have built up about the guy and living in a country where there are so many tieflings. Plane-touched humans in general make him wary, and at least initially that's the reaction he had about her.
The whole ballroom dancing sequence I think helped put him at ease, but that kind random freakiness might shock him still. I suspect it would depend on how much fighting and stuff they had gone through by that point.
That's aside from how things were developing with Lanten and 'Shari - was it going to be a "flingy" relationship or something more? It has made for an interesting contrast to 'Lina and Edan's. I was curious to see what would happen with the possible change to sorcerer that she had talked about.
I'm only doing one pbp right now, so if you find yourself needing another player and don't mind my company - give a shout. As it stands, I am considering another crack at GM pbp - running either the Shattered Star AP or more generic town adventure set in Isger. We'll see.

Personally I found the ending to Haibane Renmei leaving with me with more questions, then again I watched it dubbed and generally with mistranslation, something might have been explained. It's quite a interesting story though.
Was my first Paladin so I was often wrestling over how one would behave in the religions of Golaria vs Traditional Christianity in this one as it's the only religion I have a vast swath of knowledge even though I'm Agnostic. Someone had pointed out on the forums that their paladin had to drop out of a campaign because she got pregnant with the enchanter's child and for a moment I thought that odd, but then had to pull myself back and remind myself it's a different world with different dogma with what is good and what is bad so changed it more to that she's not wide-eyed and unknowledgeable about the world, but things like dirty jokes she won't immediately get or suggestive comments.
Plus after the Hiatus I was thinking to myself that all my female characters normally (depicted in my head anyway) would be around A-B cup so I thought why not go all out with her being the sterotype beauty many men like and make them D. Plus it gives a opening to suggestives jokes and the like.
Have to admit where Edan was drawing, I had a image in my mind of much later on with her doing the whole titanic thing. Posing whilst nude, even though that would be out of character, it was still a funny thought.
Might be difficult to sell us off as a pair as some people have difficulty with couple players, I know I did when starting up KM as it was a pair of bothers and they were totally unreasonable, plus in some cases the two stay in a bubble of their own somewhat, however I don't believe that would happen with us. Let me know if you're successful too.
Also that vid shouldn't ruin everything, that's something that happens in the first episode and as I said, I was thinking of a similar thing happening with her emergence of wings rarther than just waking up oneday and be all like "Oh look, I have wings."

Bit late I'm afraid for my homebrew one, but I'll keep a eye out on the other games I'm in and of course, you're welcome to have a look through any games i'm running. I'd highly recommend the KM one as I have still quite a few of the origonal characters in it from the begining and I had take a huge risk asking for people who had no games, but then I found there were some REALLY good roleplayers out there on here who didn't have a game. The characters I suggest you look at are Catrina Strigard (Though, I also have that player in 2 other games since) and Bronwyn who, I didn't know at first, learnt English as a second language due to how well his spelling is.
Of course once I learnt that I notice one or two words out of place, but hell he's better than most people and really gets into the character. Also the Ranger Ganit who has a troubled past and is a bit of a gruff, but I do like his character and how clearly any change to try and make him happy doesn't appear to work.
Zorestar, who along with Telias and Jameson are newer editions to the group all have very interesting qualities too. I have plans for all of them for ghosts of the past to return and some intrigue to spark in them too. Oh, this gives me an idea to use a idea I was origonally going to throw away...hmmm...
Sometimes I don't post in KM cause I just love reading the interactions between the characters how they are different, but at the same time I know I must post to keep the story going. It's unlike other KM stories because of the players as they make it very different.
I certainly loved the whole ballroom scene. Unfortunately it didn't yeild any results, but it was a fun roleplaying experience trying to have 'Lina in this kind of environment where women were wearing barely anything and many of her thoughts would be something ignorant like.
"Aren't they cold like that? What kind of place is this?" and anything alse that a young innocent catholic girl might think when entering a poledancing club. At the same time it also developed some character growth between everyone with her dressing as a woman for possibly the first time ever with 'Shari and not understanding why her clothing might not fit, again, lack of thought about the chest as at the temple I imagine she would've been celibate and everything. Funny thing is I had her as like 18 or something in this adventure, yet when ARG came out, it suggested that planetouched have longlifes like elves which sort of messed up the age thing, but I believe we kept it the same for simplicity rarther than change it suddenly, plus it makes more sense that they age like humans since that's the base form only slightly altered, but that's my opinion. Eitherway, that's why she wouldn't really be that knowledgeable about breasts as men at the temple probably wouldn't have made a big deal of it or fear retribution from the staff, plus she's no pushover.

Welcome back - sorry for the delay in answering. I hadn't been checking as regularly as before. I am willing to jump back, if everyone else is. I am little out of sorts of where we go from here, but willing to give it a go.
