I think Ushari could give her some education about that, he he.

I appreciate it. That wasn't a conversation I wanted Edan to have to have at this point in time.
yeah I see what you mean. I don't wish that to happen either which is my second reason for having her being completely oblivious.

Depends if she wants it. Maybe when feelings start to develope for Edan and she has no idea how to "woo" him then she'll probably ask.

@Ramar sorry I disappeared for a while after that last post I had some stuff I had to do.
Edans' question is valid though, what is the display of mind link activating and what is the DC to suppress it? Nothing is going to happen if it does display unless it is something extremely flashy.
Mind links display is mental and the dc is 15 plus power level. There are the default displays or there can be themed displays at the dm's permission. I would prefer themed displays. Lisa Smedman's House of Serpents books are great illistrations in how different power sources have different displays.

Sounds good to me, so the mental display did happen for both your mindlinks, everyone in the inn was just too busy doing their own thing to notice

I've placed the displays on my character sheet. If you would like to review them for approval, I would appreciate it. The theme I was going for is loss, pain, and anger since the psionic power came about from discoverying the cult. I'm thinking that a few might need to be toned down for this group so I would like suggestions if anyone has them.

I give this a thumbs up, he he.

Seems rather flashy but ok, I don't know what usual effects are, they seem fine to me.
I modified the standard displays. If you look at the displays, they read pretty close to what I put down. I can still suppress them as a free action with a concentration check.

I was waiting for a setting setup from the GM, since I was unsure about whether or not you wanted to write about Godelina helping Edan with his armor. I'll get something up.
I'll have a group header for ease of distinction.
well I don't know how he'd dress himself in armour. Would he have clothing underneith? I'd assume he does.

I hope you are all enjoying this as much as me, the character interaction and role playing is EXCELLENT! I cant wait until you all start to actually uncover the plot!
1000 exp for everyone for excellent role play up to this point, hopefully you can get some exp for slaying monsters soon ;p

Lol, nice to hear others reward good roleplaying :)
I agree, though it is interesting that whatever it is, is keeping itself well hidden.

Huh. It occurs to me (now) that clerics need a Divine focus.. I forgot to check with the DM to see if the longsword that he carries would suffice as such.. Or would it have to be masterwork before it would count?
If not, Edan will have to say he lost his somewhere.

That would be his holy symbol.

Thought you would've bought a holy symbol? You can easily get a wooden one, not too expensive and I'm sure the DM won't mind if you add it. Afterall you need the focus to channel energy.
Narrator of the lost Tomes
Right, oh illustrious DM?
Lol i will just go with whatever you say to avoid confusion, but don't do it too often or ill have to make you DM ;p
@Edan And yes a holy symbol is something that you would always have on you whether on your shield, a pendent around your neck or something, so just add one to your items owned. Silver or wood whichever would fit your character better.
Me'mori

Nah.. been making summoners and sorcerers and inquisitors lately... It honestly slipped my mind. Iomedae's symbol is a longsword, though. Since there's no standard size, he'll have a wooden one on a cord around his neck then. There is a symbol on his shield, though.

heh, I really like you're roleplay btw. Very talented. Would like to see how the relationship between the paladin and the cleric flourishes.

*smiles at the compliment* Why thank you, but you know it takes two to have a consistent exchange, so half of that praise is yours. It's nice to find someone that works with the character. I've run across precious few that are willing to go into the amount of detail needed to maintain an exchange like we have.

True, very true. Would love to see the scene where Ushari would have to teach Godelina a bit about "the birds and the bees" and how she's try to interpret it when trying to win Edan's heart. She'd be very confused and not sure what to do.

A bit of advice for you that keep getting your posts eaten. I don't know what the timeout limit for Paizo is, but it helps if you type it up elsewhere first (I use Notepad), and then cut&paste. It'll save you the pain of hitting "submit", and seeing it go to the store frontpage.
Incidentally, I have to say, "wow".. We're on practically the same posting schedule.
Narrator of the lost Tomes
I have to agree that it is nice to have people all posting at the same time, I wish I had a computer at work so I could post during the day for you guys too, but you all seem to be moving the story along nicely by yourselves lol. I may be getting an iphone soon and I can do posts off that so maybe we can speed it up even more

Well I was staying up late. About 1am I made some of those posts before heading to bed at 2.
I usually copy the post before posting it, but that one time I forgot.

This is a good time to raise this question: How much detail would you like us to post regarding NPC actions and such?
In this case, I would continue the thread of going downstairs and to the kitchen for breakfast, but I'm uncertain of whether or not there is an event trigger, or a specific layout, or if you wish certain people to be in attendance.
Narrator of the lost Tomes
For the most part when all you are doing is day to day stuff (i.e. getting food, dressing, going to bed) you can provide as much or as little detail as you wish.
Ushari has already taken a bit of a creative license with this, deciding that the lizard boat was just a bar and not an inn and such but if all it is is small things like that, and your descriptions are not conflicting with each others I have no problem working it into the story.
If something happens that I feel really shouldn't have or if I need to provide an interrupt where something happens while you where in the middle of doing something I will let you know and we can edit the storyline accordingly. For the most part however I will only be jumping in when you get to areas that you need me, when talking to major NPCs, if you want extra character interaction with minor NPCs, exploring places that you know nothing about.
For now we will assume you guys are familiar with the chapel and the lizard boat, possibly a few other places. Any major NPC I will have a character made for them that "talks" when you are talking to them, minor NPCs I will just use my Narrator alias to tell you what they are saying.

Yay! Multiclass! Edan's going into Wizard. As a story point, I suppose he's going to have to spend some time at the temple of Nethys, as well as the library, and the logistics of getting a spellbook will most certainly be interesting to see how they play out. =3
Actually that is a good question. Edan's going to be pressed for spells until he can acquire some. Same thing for the Arcane Bond, too. *ponder* This ought to be interesting.
HP:1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Character updated. Got Knowledge(local) now too!
Edan's plans for the day:
Talk to the Priest that is on the council.
Find a Records Hall to check for any developments that occurred around the time the Senior Priests noticed a decline in patronage (a year or so back)?
The temple of Nethys is somewhere that I would like to have him go, so he can be made aware of his magical aptitude, but that might have to wait until another day.

Cleric/Wizard? Really?
Sorry just don't like that mix personally, but might be more powerful later.

For the arcane bond you can use his sword (it can be a weapon, wand, ring, or amulet) as for reason he is able to be a wizard add something to his background in a spoiler saying that he used to sneak out and study at the temple of Nethys when he was younger and one of the clerics there took a liking to him or something that you come up with along those lines. It could be part of the reason he likes drawing so much is to practice spell forms? As for getting a spell book maybe you just finally decided to become serious about the whole thing and picked one up at the Curio Shop you and the owner hit it off quite neicely ;p
And yes everyone roll hitpoints

It can be EXTREMELY powerful, I have played one that could wipe the floor with anything that it came up against even with its semi crippled advancement.
