Urth Stormraven
Urth hears the giant and strides into the doorway next to Dymm. He points his sword at the giant and commands, "Illusio vim!"
The giant sees glowing blue chains erupting from his sword and racing toward her. The blue chains wrap themselves around pinning her arms to her sides and her feet together. If she were not sitting, she would fall over. Urth instantly foresees that she successfully becomes immobile.
Cast Phantasm Force DC 15 Int save Use Portent. She rolls a 3 on her Int save.
Jysson
What the f~## are you crying about, she-beast? Jysson politely inquires. You just got done murdering a wagon full of people!
Jysson unhooks his flail and steps in for the attack, not really waiting for an answer.
Bonus action to cast Hunters Mark. +1d6 damage.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Moving forward up the rubble a little to get into range.
A quick note of music, that resembles laughter rings out.
Casts Hideous Laughter Wisdom save 15
"I have no idea what the hell it's talking about? Anyone speak giant? I don't think it tried to hit me. If we could talk to it, maybe we can learn about the rest of the giants"
Saving reaction for cutting words if it attacks
Jysson
In common, She was crying about some husband, as if a hill giant could marry. When you came in, she said she doesn't want to pickle right now. When Molok came in, she said she's going to eat you.
GM Infinity
Dymm, since it was my fault I forgot to mention we'll say that went off ok. You are up on one of the staircases about halfway.
"Moog cry because...Ah! *umph* Da chains got me!" Moog looks scared as the imaginary binding cut into her fat flesh...
Wis: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
...but suddenly she bursts into mad laughter. "Ahaha! That funny, Nosh." her immobility and laughter are quite an odd combination.
Pindleton and Jax still up. 24 hour rule will apply
She continues to laugh as Jysson beats the shit out of her.

Jax Kraven
|
Haven been standing mostly back, Jax moves forward a full 30 feet towards the party. If Jysson is within 30 feet of me I'll cast Haste on him.
If not Jax double moves towards the party and most importantly towards him and the giant.
Pindleton Montague IV
Pindleton follows Dymmathy and then flies up somewhat, trying to stay near Dymm but not blocking others on the stairs. He then unloads with his bow. "I'm afraid the only thing you will eat is... your death! I need to work on better comebacks, sorry."
Shortbow attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 Booyah!
Shortbow damage w/ Sneak Attack and Crit!: 8d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 6, 3, 2, 5, 6) + 4 = 35
GM Infinity
Jax rushes up the spiral staircase towards Jysson and the giant. You are within 30 for next round
The giant looks at Pindleton float up in front of it with its eyes-crossed "Hur hur hur! Floating pickle!" and as it closes its eyes to laugh even harder Pindleton takes the opportunity to skewer the blobs chest, making a direct hit to the heart. The giant goes pale as its cardioregulatory functions begin to fail.
Congrats, that's the first nat 20 in a while
Hideous laughter prevents the giant from taking actions, so...

Jysson swings his flail at the oddly immobile giant.
Off by one friggin point!

Wis Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
"Hur hur-wait, that not funny...that hurt Moog." and her eyes roll back in her skull as she dies from the psychic assault. Slipping off the second story balcony, those below step out of the way as the full weight of her body bursts her skull like a watermelon on a jagged rock, spraying the north wall with brains.
...combat over. Guess you guys got her, lol
Jysson
Aw. Way to make us feel bad, GM! Lol.
That scenario was totally supposed to be an RP scene where we get a new quest and get on the good side of the hill giant, wasn't it?
GM Infinity
Na, could've got a name drop I suppose but not important in the grand scheme of things. And pretty funny the way it played out, imo.

A large sack on the second floor contains:
50 ft hemp rope
giant sized skinning knife
unconscious boar
A search of the rubble turns up a false tile, underneath which is a little chest with the word "Dardragon" on it. Inside:
potion labeled with a drawing of a flame
potion labeled with a drawing of a cow

Jax will try to identify the potions arcana: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (6) = 11
arcana: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (1) = 6 for the 2nd one.
Jysson
Jysson will attend to the unconscious boar. Make sure it's alright, not injured, see if it's tame or wild.
If not injured, and wild, he'll see to setting it free.
If not injured and tame, he'll see to keeping it as a pet.
If lightly injured, he'll cast cure light wounds on it.
If heavily injured, he'll slaughter it and start preparing the meat for cooking later on, leaving the rest for the birds.
Animal Handling: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
GM Infinity
Jysson, this plump domesticated boar has a brand that is typical of regional animus revertendi but it looks like someone has branded a second mark over it, making it obscured. Barbarians likely stole it.
Your best guess is that it was suffocating inside the giant's sack slowly. Your curative magics revitalize it instantly and it wobbles to its feet, snorting in your fingers.
Molok Granite Fist
Again Molok stands impassively and watches the others go about searching. He keeps his watch outside, trying to make sure nothing attempts to attack them while the others search.
Urth Stormraven
Well, that spell worked well.
Urth sheathes his sword keeping his shield ready, "well that's a good start. She looks too dumb to be a river pirate, and she looks better dead. Is it worth disturbing those bloodhawks? Or do we leave them be?"
Jysson
Jysson pulls some snacks from his pouch and feeds it to the boar. After he eats it, he scratches the boar's head and cheeks. Whosagoodboy? Yeah? You? That's right. Youragoodboy.
Listening in on the group, Jysson says, The only good giant is a dead giant. Then he pauses in recollection, Ya know, my da used ta say the same thing about humans. Huh.
Jysson
I'm down with scouting out the other giants group.
Ranger Notes: We ignore difficult terrain during overland travel, and I can do secondary travel activities while also remaining alert. When I'm alone, I can stealth at full speed (useful for scouting the giants).
Dymmathy Flintworth
I am still nearly fully charged. I am ok with continuing onward.
GM question: I took Identify as one of my known spells, but I never picked up a pearl. I have the cash for it, just forgot about it. If I am reading it right it does not consume the pearl when casting Identify. Could I have bought it? If so I would love to sit down with the potions and ritual cast it while others are working with boars or short resting, etc
Jysson
We're not in that much of a rush. It'll take the rest of the day to get to the other giants; an extra ten minutes here won't hurt us.
Urth Stormraven
”Jysson, looks like we’re ready to move out. You’ve got the lead.”. Urth offers while shouldering his shield and moving toward his hobbled horse.
GM Infinity
The humidity seems to get stronger as the afternoon advances, if there was only some cloud cover you might have a chance at rain and some relief. It makes the march grueling, but under Jysson's instinctual guidance you make quick progress. By late afternoon, you start to see some troubling signs of a major giant den. Trees have been plucked from the hills in groves, showing a large nude swath all the way to the once mighty Dessarin.
The river itself is but a trickle of what it once was, and soon you see why. A massive longhouse has been erected on top of a dam formed by great oak trunks, piled up haphazardly in beaver fashion. Pic on slide 1
From your concealed location you see some smaller humanoids, probably hobgoblins, coming and going along with quite a few hill giants...oddly all female.
You guys are about 600 ft out at this point, if you intend to get closer and recon some stuff, Ill need a group dex stealth check representing the party.
To make a group ability check, everyone in the group makes the ability check. If at least half the group succeeds, the whole group succeeds. Otherwise, the group fails.
Dymmathy Flintworth
"Very strange. Where are the dude giants? Lets see if we can get a little closer and find out what is going on!"
Looking to the group. 'Before we go.. who all is coming. I might be able to help out the least stealthy of us. I am a very good motivational speaker."
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Dymm, a little too excited for his own good, might be humming a tad as he stealths down.

"Giant rukking beavers! That can't be good." Urth sends his raven skyward for a look around the horizon.

I say we set fire to the whole building, and then kill them all in the chaos. Or wait until one is taking a shit and take them out one at a time.
GM Infinity
Thats enough PC rolls to get you guys up close undetected. I'll get the map up before I hit the hay today and you guys can place yourselves, plan, etc
Map ready. Based on Raven and PCs observations you see a number of ways in. Purple arrows are second story entrances, red are basement entrances. White is a little cottage entrance. Again, note all squares are 10 ft, not 5 ft.
Moved 3D view to slide 2 to make room on main slide.
Molok Granite Fist
Lucky it was not Molok...he does not do stealth..lol
Molok walks almost directly towards the giant beaver/giant holt. He does not actually try to hide but after Jysson motions for him to get down, he moves in a bent-over motion, sticking close to any rock outcroppings.
Jysson
I still say we set fire to the whole thing. Maybe see if we can let all the sheep out first. Jysson suggests, in his usual bad advice fashion.
Although... As a player, sneaking in and releasing the sheep isn't a bad idea. Set fire for a distraction, and then do a sheep herding run to let them all escape. Takes away their food supply and forces them to split their attention. The few who go after the sheep can be killed away from the rest. We can pick them off one or two at a time.
We just gotta figure out some more ways to split their attention and get some loners separated from the rest.
If we keep harrying them over the next few days, we could eliminate the entire camp.
GM Infinity
2 cave-like entrances directly adjacent to sheep pens and teepees. 1 smaller cave-like entrance to the far right (better visible on 3D pic).
Pic can be confusing because its giant scale, it isn't just a normal little house...its hundreds of feet long and high. The little cottage in front is even 50 ft high
Molok Granite Fist
Molok moves towards the smaller cave outside the sheep pens. Once he arrives he will examine the area just outside the cave mouth for any tracks.
