Sourcebooks needed for items on Chronicle Sheets?

I dunno if this has been asked already, but here goes. For items on the Chronicle Sheets from non-CRB sources like Alien Archive and the Dead Suns AP, do I need the source book they came from in order to purchase and make use of it? Thanks in advance!

Arc is correct, you need the source book if the item is not detailed on the chronicle.

For Starfinder, the only items that are detailed on the chronicles that I have seen are special items found in the adventure.

Well, I checked the Chronicle sheets for 01-10 and 01-11, and the chronicle has items listed from Alien Archive, Pact Worlds, and Dead Suns #1. You would need a source to purchase and use those items.
