Wondering if there has been any information about how GM Stars will be handled.

Will SFS be a separate counter or will it be combined with PFS?

I can make an argument for both directions but what I think really doesn't matter.

Looking forward to playing and GMing. Hopefully we will know soon when we can request to run at GenCon.

I think they mentioned it would be seperate, they were looking at planets or rings or something if the board could handle it.

The wolf is correct. They will be separate. I'm hoping for little moons, but I may be biased because of my middle* name.

Hmm

you know it's NOT going to count as an extra moon towards pre reqs right?

What?! It totally counts.

Bluff: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

I'm sure John Compton also said in the Know Direction podcast that anyone with the name 'Hilary Moon Murphy' got an extra 3000 in starting credits, plus a rocket boot boon. You must have missed it.

Hmm

PS Does anyone else find it hilarious that they fix forum notifications and then VO titles go away? Or... Does this mean that I'm no longer a Venture Flunkie!? Eep! I've been voted off the island planet!

If it is stars for the campaign mostly restricted to one planet, shouldn't it at least be galaxies for a star campaign?

I actually noticed last week that my VA status didn't turn up in this forum, but was showing up in the PFS forums, so I think it has always been broken...

I've never met a person with one of those "hippie" names who was given one of those "hippie names" at birth* that actually reflected his or her personality.

-Sunshine was the manager at one summer job I had. She was by far the grumpiest person out of the two dozen who worked there.
-Sky is very friendly but his talents lie in mechanics and computer programming, not abstractions.
-It took me a very long time to find out that Flo's full name was Flower. Mostly because she was very withdrawn.

*People who choose those kinds of names for themselves (often the parents of the ones I was just referring to) absolutely DO match their names.

Wallflower. Total match.

I've got a perfectly normal name, but I had a co-worker once named Journey. She did like traveling.

I once met a lady named Stormy with the last name of Haze.... we asked her why she didn't just use her middle name.

Turns out it was Gail...

There was a girl named Starshine Moonflower Smith who lived about a block away from me when I was in high school. She was a few years younger than me so I didn't know her very well, but she seemed pleasant enough.

What was really remarkable, even after all this time, is how that was in rural Ohio, in fact one of the poorest, most "red necked" regions you could find in the state at time. Nobody had a name anything like hers at all. Her name made her (or at least her parents) really stand out.

I've seen a family with Arthur: and then kids Lancelot and Galahad as well as surnames of Battlerage and Deathrage. Neither of these were encountered in normal gamer circles.

Wow.. It is amazing how quickly a topic can move off center! :)

Anyways, thanks for the responses.

My brother in law, James Kirk (surname) was named for a character in a TV show that both parents liked but thought would be forgotten in a few years.

My name was the my great great grandmother's maiden name. In 1861 she had three brothers who went and joined the army. By the end of April 1865 she found out she was an only child. That is how they kept the surname going.

On the subject of gm stars. I like Saturn like planets.

In the absence of any of the information required to resolve the matter or get questions answered, yeah the plot will wander :p
