I need some help with an artistic adventure.

Advice

My campaign is currently in Andoran and I have an NPC I am needing help with. I am adjusting the Gallery of Evil module. So I have an art collector who works with adventurers and will buy things off of them from their dungeon delving or occasionally send them out to places he has heard about. I want them to work with him some before I start the modules events.

The main things he collects are paintings and drawings. But he will take statues, should they be beautifully made or of historical value, and yes he will take pieces of statues. For weapons and armor it has to be historically relavant or of a exceptionally beautiful make.

What I need is some suggestions for places he might send my group in Andoran and some ideas for things that they might find.

Thank you in advance,
DAA

The town of Carpendin is trying to establish an art industry - perhaps they could be sent to escort the transport of a particularly large, unwieldy, and valuable piece. It's more a low-level hook, but workable. Alternatively, there are some barrow mounds at the Necropolis of Nogortha Peaks that could easily contain rare art and create more of a dungeon-delve. If you're feeling really adventurous, the Candlestone Caverns create a passage to the Darklands near a fey city called the Court of Ether - bit of fey strangeness, bit of random encounters with Darklands monsters, possibly even a bit of intrigue, what's not to love?

Woot! I got a reply. Those are actually some good ideas. Thank you.

Hehe, they would love/hate and escort mission. That could be fun.

There has been a lot of Fey stuff in my game so I will being looking into the Candlesone Caverns and the Court of Ether though I have no familiarity with the Darklands but I love learning.

Also a lot of undead and I had been considering the Necropolis. This could be a fun way to get them there.

Thank you!

Glad to help! :) It's all stuff from the Inner Sea World Guide entry on Andoran, so if you can get your hands on that book you can get more information about those locations. (Plus, it's just a fantastic book anyway. One of my most commonly used by far.)

Chances are good there's not much information on any of these spots besides in the World Guide. In a lot of ways, Inner Sea World Guide was meant to provide jumping-off points for GMs looking to create games within the world, so there's a lot of brief mentions of story material that hasn't otherwise been expanded on. Which means you can make it whatever you want. ;)

That is a valid point. I will see if one of my roommates has that book.

Poking for more ideas!
