Half-Orc Fighter for Carrion Crown

Advice

Good evening everyone.
Me and my group are currently playing the Carrion Crown AP, and sadly today my PC, a human paladin of Sarenrae, died, along with our group oracle. I am now in the process of creating a new character, and I've opted for an half-orc fighter to cover once again the role of the sturdy melee damage dealer.
I am here to ask you for advices on how to build him, which feats to take, what gear to buy. My idea was of a big and savage mercenary who crashes his enemies into smithereens with a huge greatsword.

This is his stats block so far:

I'm eager to read your constructive comments, thank you very much for your time.

Looks brutally apt.

Have you thought about your Campaign Trait?

Would suggest Chance Saviour - the +2 initiative bonus is in keeping with his "eager combatant" persona.

Linebreaker would also be a decent flavour trait to take... perhaps in lieu of Indomitable Faith? Would overcome your slow armour speed when charging - making you more effective to get quickly to those foes?

With such Heavy Armour - (to me) taking Dodge as a feat pick is a bit of waste?

You'd still be rocking AC of 21 but could have a feat to play with.

Depending on the combat dynamics of the group - Horde Charge would be a fun pick, Grudge Fighter also fits the character well.

My 2 runes worth mate :)

I can't take campaign traits, it wouldn't make much sense for a character that never knew professor Lorrimor to have one of those traits.

Sovereign Court

I think an alternative archetype that would be worth considering for this character would be Two-Handed Fighter - I think Weapon Master is just as good, they just have different advantages and disadvantages.

Weapon Master is more accurate with chosen weapon and is better at criticals at high levels, but Two-Handed Fighter does more damage even in non-full attacks and has some interesting high level options.

When I played a very similar Half-Orc Fighter through the later levels of the Emerald Spire, I found the Sacred Tattoo racial trait paired with the Fates Favoured trait to be excellent for shoring up my saves. The Advanced Weapon Training option that gives your Bravery bonus to all Will saves is excellent too, but requires an archetype that does not trade Bravery...

That said, the character is fine as it is :)

Archtype - I prefer mutagen warrior

Traits - Fate's Favored (paired with sacred tattoo), Defender of the Society (+1AC when wearing medium or heavy armor).

Feats - Power Attack, Weapon Focus, Weapon Specialization, Advanced Weapon Training (Spirit Warrior), Iron Will, Wasp Familiar

Knowing the AP from years ago, it's a shame your pally is dead because of all the things to smite.
No party member with channel/turning ?

Ouch

I'm not sure in this campaign replacing that punch with a generi-fighter will bring you much joy.

War priest
Unchained superstitious barbarian
Inquisitor
Undead hating ranger may come close

But a blackblade magus that also focused on spell breaker and disruptive feats would see much joy in this campaign

Personally, I played a black powder inquisitor tiefling (hell boy)

Do you have access to the Weaponmaster's Handbook, and all Paizo stuff in general? How complex do you want to go with this build? Does some Multiclassing work for you?

The Weapon Master Archetype is useful for multiclassing or for picking up more Advanced Weapon Training options from the Weapon Master's Handbook, but if you're just gonna smash things with a greatsword, why not go Two-Handed Fighter Archetype?

Throwing in a level of Urban Barbarian and some Extra Rage will make a greatsword Fighter smash things better. Dropping one level and a couple feats isn't much of an issue for most Fighters. Combining Two-Handed Fighter and Rage is brutal.

Ah nei bother. Presumed he might have been a former associate of Lorrimor who'd missed the funeral and tracked the party down.
