Iron Gods

Liberty's Edge

So Group is composed of
One Human Paladin of Iomedae, One Human Warpriest (Cleric Archtype) of Iomedae, One Goblin Born Ifrit Rogue [Custom Build], and one fully Custom Built Goblinoid Spellslinger (The races Description is very similar to Stitch from Lilo & Stitch, and with a few tweaks no longer has Divination as one of her 4 prohibited Schools of magic) and One Android Sorcerer That has convinced everyone he is a Spear Warrior.

So far they have done well and are entering the fourth part of book one to deal with the hired hands of one Purple Haired Android

Was debating using the Rope fists as is. But with one of the Rumors I had thrown in that Ratfolk where about impersonating Knights of Iomedae figured I'd trade them out and let them have there fun with a group of Ratfolk Fighters and one Ratfolk Chirurgen (Archtype: Alchemist) acting as a 'cleric'

as such the Ratfolk Knights are CR 1/2 (LV 1 Fighters)
and the Chirurgen Ratfolk is a CR 3 (LV 4 Alchemist)

To make it more memorable I traded out the Alchemist Ratfolks swarming ability for Cornered Fury (which as I built the character found out how impressive that is with Mutagen)

The story angle was fairly easy to shift. The Warehouse was rented by the Ratfolk and they have been hired to protect a 'magical item' Their leader knows technology and understands it's use and wants to protect it for his allies. But since they are posing as Members of Iomedae's factions The Ratfolk Alchemist has been healing people that come to them for assistance while protecting the shop as their 'front' (and to add that amusing emotional hard sell of 'can we kill them in the name of our god even though they are doing good in her name?' as while they are posing as members they have not done any tarnishing of her good name, mostly because it would cause problems for the Android if they attracted attention to themselves by doing so.)

posting this because it is the first significant change I've made to the game thus far and once I run it this Friday I will let others know how it turned out.

Interesting twist.
So, how did it turn out?

Amusingly enough the rped it out without having to attack, I had excepted a swing first approach and was almost not disappointed but the player playing the Paladin decided to chat with the Ratfolk, and was convinced od their innocent duplicity and thus had the warpriest not attack them. But instead since they wanted to do good works go out to an actual temple of Iomedae and become actual warriors.

The real death battle came from the Gearman that I had changed out it's weapon of choice to a MWK Earth Breaker.

after they attacked it, it went into power attack mode.

+8 To Hit, 2d6+14 Damage x3 on a critical. It was a brutal fight, I mostly did this because I changed the Android at the end to CE Alignment so that the Paladin could get their Smite Evil, and others equally got their bonuses on her so they could stop the Melt Down with an hour left on the timer.

Thus they ended the adventure with a huge Party, with only two members knowing what a Melt Down was, and all knowing something bad was happening at Scrapwall.
