I would link you the comment, but it was made on the VO forum.
Could you ask for an Official post/comment made in the 'open' PFS forums, please?
Request submitted. :)
I'm glad this got submitted, and hopefully we'll see a public announcement. I just told my VL about this, and he's not thrilled that this was released publicly. Said it's not supposed to be, and he hadn't heard otherwise. I think everyone will rest easier once we see the official okay.

I would also feel better about waiting to hand this out until there's an official announcement and somewhere on paizo.com to download it. In the meantime, I'll mention it to my Venture Officers and see if they want to distribute it to new players. (EDIT: Presuming they have authority to do so somewhere in a Venture Officer forum post).

Hi!

The Welcome to Pathfinder boon is just that - a welcome and a way for brand new players to avoid an unfortunate first table.

It should be distributed to all new players. So whoever is coordinating the table should make sure their new players have it. I have sent it to VOs and event organizers over the past few months, so there are copies in circulation.

While no specific language is on the boon, the Welcome boon is limited to a first level XXX-1 character. This criteria will appear in the next Roleplaying Guild Guide.

Thanks for the update.

Thank you, Tonya!

One of the things I had started to bring with me was session sheets for everyone to sign, instead of printing the ones at the end of the scenario. These allowed you to do three at a time, instead of just one. Saves so much paper. Unfortunately, I can't do that any more. Recently, whenever I make an event, no session pages are made for me. I thankfully saved one from back in 2015, and I just cross everything out that's not relevant, but I liked having those available. If we change up factions again, I'll be doing a lot more crossing out.

I use a book for sign in (it's currently a hufflepuff harry potter journal) because i will lose a piece of paper, i might not lose an entire book.

This is a known glitch. Our workaround has been to report a fake table, download the session sheet, and then delete the table.

I tend to have:

  • A bag of Dove chocolates to serve as terrifying and delicious monsters (except the one time the monster was so big I bought a moon pie from the store's snack area...)

If I ever get a chance to play at your table, I'll roll up a super munchkin barbarian or archer so I can eat all the chocolate!!!

Also, once you have reported the "fake" table, save the pdf copy of the tracker sheet to your desktop or another appropriate folder and then you always have it available to print out and don't have to continually re-download it lol

What are these stamps I have been reading about and how does one procure one? If ones soul is require sadly I have an IOU out on that at the moment :)

Grand Lodge 4/5

Vistaprint has a custom stamp option. I ordered one with my PFS number and TOZ as well as a CORE stamp, the previous VC had one for his number and signature as well as a KIA stamp for dead character chronicles. If you want a CORE stamp I still have it as orderable on my account and can make arrangements.

Sounds cool. If you could let me know how much it could come out too that would be awesome.

I'm still new to GMing PFS if you couldn't tell by the lak of stars :)

Grand Lodge 4/5

Roughly about 25 dollars plus shipping, if I recall.

Edit: They also have a sale going, so I can probably get it to you for 25 even right now.

Grand Lodge 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 ***** Venture-Agent, Minnesota

I should pick up one of those stamps sometime!

Our lodges got our Core stamp from Staples. We had lots of people who wanted them so we got them at a bulk price.

I don't know about you guys but I tend to keep my big 4" base sized Red Dragon mini with me. Makes a nice reminder not to peve the GM!

Dark Archive 4/5 5/5 ****

Added to mine (though likely will usually stay in the car unless needed) are the three books of laminated pregens.

And now also five "new player packets"

What is the value of the stamps over just signing the chronicle?

Can't speak for those above, but for me it's speed, readability, and the chance to tag the sheet with a black-and-white faction symbol (pulled from the Community Use packages).

It's all three of those things for me (well, my stamp is green, but otherwise...), plus when I put together GM credit PCs I can instantly tell the difference between a played and a GMed chronicle.

Well that leads me to ask... Is there an important difference between a played and a GMed chronicle?

Liberty's Edge 4/5 *

An important difference? Not really.

Remembering which are GM chronicles helps me with the "Why don't I remember playing this guy? Oh right, he's got a lot of GM credit." ;-)

No, as Tony mentions, there's usually not a difference.

Mostly, for me, it's a math thing; when I GM credit, I (almost) always go slow progression, so it simplifies the arithmetic vs. played credit. YMMV.

That, too.

But, in reality for me it is a combination of speed, legibility, and the fact that I am starting to get some arthritis in my thumbs, so reducing the amount of writing (especially fast righting all at once) helps a lot.

And style.

I've got the standard, I would think.

- PFS cards for our city's lodge (Facebook, and how to sign up on Paizo)
- Printed chronicles for the scenario
- My tablet with the scenario on it (Extension cord in case the plug-in is far away)
- My iPhone with the pfsrd and Nethys bookmarked.
- Dice
- GM folder (printed sheets for day job, spell costs, GM 101, our lodge's "don't be a jerk rules", PFS pregens level 1-7, scrap paper)
- Box of minis
- Grid map and erasable markers
- "Core Campaign" stamp
- spare pencils and pens
- boon sheets, if appropriate for scenario

Did you make your own "PFS cards for our city's lodge...)? If so, could you share that in an email with me so I can adapt it (with your permission of course)? I'm the local Venture-Agent and can always use more info and help.

Thanks!
