So, we're talking about the Burning Arc spell. The spell specifies that you hit a target, plus additional targets depending on your caster level. Question is, do you NEED to select additional targets or it is optional?
I have a pretty solid idea about that since I've been using it in a way for years, but we would like some unbiased opinions. We appreciate it.
The last sentence of the description calls out the ability to reduce the number of secondary targets. Black and white, no opinion or word parsing involved.
