Starting a new campaign soon and I wanted to try a class I have not played before. In doing some research I thought the idea behind the Kineticist was cool. I started building a Elemental themed character.
Rolled for stats: 18/16/15/15/14/8
Race: Thinking Suli for Roleplay reasons
Party build: Witch, Barbarian, Bard
I had the idea of doing Elemental Ascetic and Druid combo. I am not sure if I should go primary Kineticist or Druid and what the mix should be. My role would be role support (helping melee and magic) and primary rogue/scout.

Kineticist are really best as a single class since their abilities are a lot like spellcasting in how they stack. For what you're describing, a telekineticist would be most helpful since they have a lot of rogue/scout abilities that would help you out.
For archetypes, pure telekineticist should be fine, EA loses just a bit too much to make for a great kineticist. Not very elemental I'll admit, but you could take Air as your expanded element and consider it a continuation of that.
Pure telekineticist w no archtype is really a great rogue replacement. If you can get the "mummy mask" trait for magic traps from your GM the better. I'm going TK right now and its great.

TK is extremely fun. Disarming traps really far away is an amazing bonus that really helps a party. Stealing things with little to no chance of being caught can sometimes break a storyline, too. Really makes GMs improvise.
I love it as a class, with the caveat being that I dislike the Kineticist class in general.
