Advice

Could use some advice on a sacred fist i'm working on.

Low fantasy 10 point buy, no stat allowed lower then 9. Most likely a stat increase every level up.

Stats:
Str: 14 (16 + 2 human)
Dex: 12 (10 if i swap with con?)
Con: 10 (12 if i swap with dex?)
Int: 9
Wis: 14
Cha: 9

Feats:
Pummeling style, Racial bonus: (?), Bonus: Improved Unarmed Strike.

Skills:
Acrobatics, perception

No Traits

Blessing:
Strength, good

Anything you guys would suggest to change, preferable explained why.
Thanks in advance

Looks as good as it could be, but I'd probably suggest Knowledge Domain - it's actually pretty neat because it gives you a ton of extra utility. Later, when you get Quicken Blessing, you can be sneaky and replace the touch attack for an unarmed strike -- so you could possibly use a swift action to get another attack in.

For your racial bonus, go for Toughness for sure. You'll need it.

Spend every FCB on the 1/6 feat thing, it's gonna be useful on the long run.

Thanks for your reply.

I am wondering, if next level i take moms to get pummeling charge, do i get any of the base monk abilities?
- Stunning fist
- AC Bonus (ex) [Does this stack with AC Bonus (Su)?]

You do get Stunning Fist.

AC Bonus doesn't stack because you are trying to add Wisdom as an untyped bonus twice to the same thing. It doesn't even stack to give you that +1 extra AC as you level up.

I do wholly recommend against it though. Not sure what styles you want to mix but I doubt it's worth it.

I was just reading up on some of the errata's on SF.

One part wasn't particularly clear:
"In the Flurry of Blows ability, at the end of the second sentence, add “, except the sacred fist’s attack bonus from warpriest levels does not count as his warpriest level.” "

I also got told that FoB doesnt get its full bab anymore but only 3/4?
Not sure if that has to do with the above errata.

All in all i am debating if i shouldn't be playing another type of character. A shame though as the archetype really appealed to me, until i read about all the errata's.

*edit* I prefer to do combat myself as well supporting the team i'm in. The party is in need of a 'healer' and we got at least 2 barbs (incase you got any alternative class suggestions)

Sacred Fist is still good. I remember when that errata came up everyone was panicking. I never liked the archetype, but I could still tell it worked well. I posted a build to show everyone it was still able to output a stupid amount of damage while providing good team utility.

You'll also find me in that thread defending the Unchained Monk... back then people were stuck too far up their proverbial behinds to realize it was the highest stupid damage out there.

Anyway, the reason why I think you should stick to Sacred Fist is as follows: you get a stat increase every level.

All Monkish classes REALLY benefit from that type of action. I'd say your best bet is to go ahead with it.

You do need to stick with the class though. Notice that Divine Favor as a swift action is amazingly good. You also have a ton more other swift action spells that kick ass. Angelic Aspect, Righteous Might, you name it. Don't knock that feature, it's stupid good.

If you do want another class that can hit and heal, I can help out, but I think SF is more than adequate.

Would a weapon finesse build work better or can strength work just fine?

Scarab Sages

Honestly, I wouldn't play a Sacred Fist or a Monk on 10 pt buy, especially if you can't lower a stat below 9. They are too MAD to be effective with attributes that low.

You would be better served for the concept by just playing a cleric of Irori with Guided Hand using domain strike and brawling armor

It's honestly a matter of starting stats. If you get 1 stat per level and start off at 10, I'd say your AC might be a bit too low for the first levels. I'd go with something like:

S14+2 D12 C12 I9 W13+2 CH9

As a Dual Talent Human.

Then:

2. +1 WIS
3. +1 WIS
4. +1 WIS
5. +1 CON
6. +1 CON
7. +1 STR
8. +1 STR
9. +1 STR
10. +1 STR
11. +1 WIS
12. +1 WIS
13. +1 WIS
14. +1 WIS
15. +1 STR
16. +1 STR
17. +1 STR
18. +1 STR
19. +1 WIS
20. +1 WIS

PS: The reason why Finesse isn't that great is this Righteous Might.

Unfortionatly no permission from the gm to go dual talent human.

*edit* gm changed his mind.
