Hell's Rebels

Liberty's Edge

Okay since I was thinking of running this series at the local comic shop here in Fairbanks Alaska. I think Pre-made characters are the way to go to attract new players that are not familiar with the system of course.

Debating either Iconic characters or making a few of my own. running the game also with my group on the side will help me not have to re-read the book while running.

So if you where making some Pre-mades for this game for new players what would you suggest for them?

Generally I go with the basic set

Cleric, Fighter, Rogue, Sorcerer

makes for a balanced party in some cases. But which Archetypes would you go with or should I just do the K.I.S.S approach to this as well?
(Which would be no archetypes and generic skills/powers, Cleric Heals, etc,etc..)

Silver Crusade

I think it would be a good idea to keep things simple.

If you are introducing people to the game, I think it is a good idea for people to understand

that this is a cooperative game, and people are working together as a team. Each character

class has a role to play. Clerics are support, fighters engage and attack monsters, rogues deal with traps, help the fighter with their sneak attacks....and the sorcerer uses magic to zap things.

It may be a good idea to use a Life Oracle...as an analog to a sorcerer.

Also if you are introducing people to the game good resources are beginners box. There is also the Beginner Box Player pack and the Beginner-Box-GM-Kit and Beginner Box bash quests which which are free (The Beginner Box isn't free). You might also find these Pathfinder Society Quests useful.

I think it would be a good idea to keep the characters simple if you are introducing the game to new people. I hope this helps.

I'd definitely avoid prepared spellcasters, especially ones that have their full spell list available. Seconding the Oracle recommendation, though maybe not the Life mystery to avoid walking bandaid syndrome.

I'd also consider swapping the fighter with a paladin or slayer, and using the unchained rogue.
