characters listing as (RPG) vs (PFC)

I have several friends that have this issue. "characters listing as (RPG) vs (PFC)"

They report it (often several times) thru the "Problem with this session" button - and/or to Customer Service - and/or to the event coordinator... and nothing happens. They don't even get a canned response saying something like "Thank you for your concern Citizen, your Friend the Computer is looking into it..." or anything.

It has reached a stage that it is beginning to effect what we play. Several people no longer play Core games just for this reason. One friend of mine has stated that he is "not playing any PFS until they at least respond to me"... and he's a 5 star judge!

I don't actually know anyone with more that 1 Core character who DOESN'T have one with this issue - except me that it, and I have a Non-Core PC that is showing Core on my Character list... (Yeah, I have a CORE Tiefling Gun-Tank...at least that's how it lists him).

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get any action on this sort of thing? Any sort of response? I mean, I'd kind of like my friend to play PFS again... even if we need to just drop out of Core altogether.

It doesn't bother me so much. I realize that the paper trail is the "Document of Record" and the online listings are secondary... but for some people it means a lot for it to be "right" - or to at least know that someone realizes there is a problem.

When playing and reporting core games it is important that players, GMs, and reporters be diligent about checking for RPG/PFC character status at the table in the system before reporting.

I have made mistakes like this in the past, as have other local GMs. An e-mail to customer service about the issue has seen the problem resolved in a week or two.

Nosig, as to your non-core character showing as core, the solution to that is simple. Just play an RPG game with him/her and he/she will be automatically converted from PFC to RPG.

The e-mails to customer service about the PCs with issues have NOT seen the problem resolved in months. Follow up e-mails have actually not even been responded to. So... eventually the people with the problem just quit trying.

And the reason this is a problem for me, is that two of the people that quit trying are my wife and my sister...

I've personally witnessed two different GMs getting different results reporting the same PC to a core game. I'm one of the GMs. One of the local core PCs always gives me the wrong campaign message. I've watched another GM report the same PC on a core game without the message, after I've seen the message.

It also has to do with how the event was set up, which could explain why two different GMs have had different experiences with reporting.

If you have lots of games for your event, it's easier to miss than you'd think.

Given my experience with getting incorrect PFC/RPG issues resolved, I would say to start with the obvious.
