Amongst the various threads where it's come up over the years, print on demand hasn't ever been ruled out (as far as I'm aware) but has generally been viewed as too costly, too much hassle or not good enough quality.
I wondered if anyone had looked at that recently? Given the move into POD in the card game, perhaps there's some infrastructure there to make it easier now to facilitate RPG titles as well. I'm aware of the "compete with ourself" argument against out of print items, but what about the PDF-only items like PFS scenarios (season at a time would be ideal for me) and most especially the player guides?
No longer getting hard copies of the AP player guides, in particular is a great loss, in my view. Handing those out to provide inspiration for character generation used to be a terrific prelude to starting an AP-based campaign.

I just received new PoD samples a few weeks ago, and though paper quality has improved since the last time I looked into it, I'm still not happy with the print quality.
Thanks, vic. I'm also glad you're still keeping an eye on it. Getting the Player Guides printed is something of a pain.
Cheers.
