But if a Scarred Witch Doctor became a Lich, would that mean he loses all spellcasting ability since he doesn't have a Con score because he would then be the Undead Type.

Would that mean he's incapable of becoming a Lich? Or could he become a lich and then be rendered powerless?

No Constitution score. Undead use their Charisma score in place of their Constitution score when calculating hit points, Fortitude saves, and any special ability that relies on Constitution (such as when calculating a breath weapon's DC).

It just flips to Charisma.

It's more frustrating to Barbarians who are immune to their own rage.

As I understand it, because undead use Charisma in place of Con (don't ask me HOW that works, but that is how RAW state it) I would assume that Cha becomes the casting stat of a lich who used to be a scarred shaman.

guess Ashiel typed a bit faster than I did ;)

Oh I see. Thank you.

The Monster Codex includes a Vampire Barbarian who they say basically just ignores that problem (I mean technically they give him a special ability...but it's not justified or anything, the clear message is that Vampire Barbarians just work).

And apparently in Pathfinder Unchained the Barbarian's basic rage stuff all becomes untyped bonuses.

So either of those solve that problem.

I find it humorous that they changed the barbarian rage to morale bonuses from untyped bonuses only to change it back. A good idea probably (now a nerf to most barbarians because of courageous weapons) but a good idea none the less. If it wasn't broke, don't fix it.
