An Oni Ate My Onigiri and other mischief

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Sovereign Court

I wrote some encounter outlines for adventures set in mythical Japan or Tian Xia’s Minkai Empire, based on some fascinating fairy tales from Japan. You can find the second one in the series on Rising Phoenix Games.

I’d love to know what you think and if you’d like to see more.

Spoiler:
The third part of the series features a very famous Japanese tale of a giant centipede and a dragon king.

Sovereign Court

The third instalment in the series is here. Take on a flaming centipede on behalf of the Dragon King.

I am currently GMing a sandbox game set in Tian Xia and was also inspired by Japan and the similar stories, but from anime movies and series. It also gave me a something new and fresh to play around with.

The stories and encounters seem cool and impressive ("The Goblin of Adachigahara" and "The Ogre of Rashomon" is what I'v read so far), but probably might not be enough to last through a single gaming session. They are slightly too short and roleplaying them might depend heavily on the gaming group. I love the stories though. As a GM, there is never enough material to find and stories are one of great ways to quickly make an interesting session.
