Question about Staff Magus

The ability Quarterstaff Defense adds the quarterstaff's enhancement bonus as a bonus to AC does this count just one end of the staff or both since a quarterstaff can be enchanted as a double weapon. Clarification would be handy, I think know but a friend thinks yes.

It doesn't matter if it can add both as they would both add a shield bonus which wouldn't stack with each other.

Also the start magus will most likely have a staff without weapon ench since he gets that for free. At a rate of staff CL/4.
Ok first from level 10 so pehaps he will get use of a normal weapon staff until then. But since you most likely will use Spell combat a lot i suggest not spending too Many feats on TWF.
