Far Cry 4

Sovereign Court

For now, it feels like playing a prettier looking Far Cry 3. Much prettier.

Scarab Sages

Grrrr...I mean, I am looking forward to it. pre ordered, pre loaded...then the game tried to secure infinite hardware space...which obviously failed. I had to remove the pre-loaded parts and re install the game from the very beginning, so I couldn't start, yet.

Sovereign Court

The main villain seems in the same vein as Vaas. Just less psycho and more...well psycho. Tibetan Vaas :D

If you want to get a neato easter egg, just remember, do as you are told.

I was playing the intro to this the other day while waiting for my girlfriend to come over. When she walked in she asked what movie I was watching.

Far Cry 4 out? Guess I should start playing 3.

Sovereign Court

4 is good. It's fun. 3 is also good.

Which platforms are you playing on? I dont want to start a pissing match, I just want to know if it's worth getting for the 360?

Sovereign Court

PC for me.

Scarab Sages

Sorry, can't help you there, I am playing on a PC.

PS4 here. I imagine the gameplay is the same for the 360. It's kind of an open world shooter with some decent stealth elements. It includes some good platforming and exploration stuff too. I play it trying a stealth approach first.

It's got some really light role playing elements too.

Dark Archive

I'd love to try out this game, play with it for a little while, and decide whether I want to drop $60 on it...that's what demos are for, right?

So, I spent several hours downloading the demo, decided to try it out this morning, spent a ridiculous amount of time setting it up and making a UPlay account, only to discover...it's not a real demo and I can't actually play any of it.

Silver Crusade

I've been enjoying it so far. A lot of quality of life improvements (auto-drive for perspective).

Also I've been enjoying it quite a bit, it feels like an upgrade on Far Cry 3, as opposed to a whole new game (which is fair, FC3 felt like an upgrade to FC2)

The villain seems engaging, and different from the one from 3. It carries on the grey vs grey or black vs black moral ethos from 2 and 3 though. The protagonist feels like a good guy though, and not a crazed drug using loser like Brody.

As in FC3 though, I dislike the fact that I have to constantly deal with suicidal wildlife. Although there's something about sneaking up on a base, and taking a look around and spotting a tiger skulking up on you, and realizing if you want to take the base out you have to resolve the tiger quietly.
