Stat buffing items and bathing...

Rules Questions

So this came up a while back in our group. We have a magus with a belt of giant strength. He comes from the higher ranks of society, wo he likes to keep himself clean and thus bathes regularly. Does that mean that eveytime he bathes, the bonus only ever counts as a temporary bonus?

It doesn't really make a difference any more: FAQ.

RAW yes, RAI no. The RAI is (as I understand it) to prevent parties sharing items for fun and profit. Personally, as long as no-one else wears the item while the Magus performs his ablutions, I'd say that meets the requirements.

Well then... That's nice to know.

Sczarni

Unless they catch him in the tub, it really doesn't matter. A "tub fight" could be interesting though... hope he has improvised weapon proficiency...

ps. this is why most adventurers never bathed in the past... afraid of RAW cleanliness.

You mean the portable bath tub isn't just there for gnome alchemical grease wrestling night? Who knew? :)
