Sponsoring Settlement: Phaeros
Member of: The Seventh Veil
Alignment: True Neutral
Roleplaying: The Echo Woodsmen consist of characters from all roles, with the common cause of harvesting from the natural environment using sustainable methods. We're lumberjacks, hunters, trappers, gardeners, gatherers, crafters, and even land developers that focus on long term health of the natural biome. Gardening and harvesting timber sustainably actually increases the natural health of the area, and adopting a hunting methodology with focus on maintaining the biodiversity of the fauna in the region is a net benefit to the natural environs.
Membership: The Echo Woodsmen are a sub-community of The Seventh Veil and are sponsored by Phaeros, a settlement in the southeast of the Early Enrollment map. As such, in order to become a member of The Echo Woodsmen you must first apply and become a member of The Seventh Veil, here.
Leadership: The Echo Woodsmen are led by a core group of real life friends who meet up and socialize often. We play board games, roleplay in several different tabletop groups using a variety of systems, and many of us went to college together in our younger days. Collectively we have decades of gaming experience, both on- and off-line. We're a mature group who like to have fun and we're very interested in promoting positive game play.
Looking Ahead: The Echo Woodsmen plan to run a PoI and both outposts in a woodlands hex near Phaeros. As we discover more information about the game, we will adjust our plans accordingly, but currently the outposts will be a Lumber Mill and a Hunting Lodge.
*If we sound like a group that you could call family, head over to The Seventh Veil and apply. Be sure to mention in your application that you'd like to be a member of The Echo Woodsmen.

Someone from a neighboring friendly settlement mentioned that their druids may not like The Echo Woodsmen. I asked him why, and it turned out that he hadn't read past "lumberjacks."
We use sustainable methods with the end result of actually increasing the health of the forest. We have the utmost respect for nature and will protect the woodlands around our home against any who may ravage them.
Druids and rangers will find The Echo Woodsmen an excellent group to call their family. As will anyone else who would rather help the forest than hurt it. The forest is our home, and we respect and protect it, as it provides for us.

Well, I guess some had a bit too much of fermented root last evening and were awaken by your jolly songs :D
We'll focus them on a tower far from yours to be sure they aren't disturbed ;)Looking forward to see you neighbors ! I'm sure your woodsmen will have plenty skills to learn from us elves on how to take care of nature.

On the contrary, if your druids end up in the hex next to us it would be fantastic. We already have a couple of people who are interested in playing either a druid or a ranger. :)
Our current plan is to take a tower, hold it throughout the War of the Towers, then build a PoI in the same hex once they're implemented. We're also adaptable enough to change that plan if it becomes necessary.

The Echo Woodsmen would like to invite diplomatic and trade dialogue. We will have dedicated crafters among our ranks as well as aristocrats, and we don't want them to have nothing to do. ;)
As stated earlier, we will be located in a woodlands hex near Phaeros, in the south east of the Early Enrollment map. We'd like to establish trade with anyone who is interested.

Since I couldn't attend Paizocon, I will settle for bumping this thread again.
Do you like the forest? Ever thought it would be cool to grab a few friends and make a home for yourself outside of the city? We're building either an inn or a manor in a forest hex near Phaeros and we want you to join us. Click Here to learn more!

We have a new thread up on Reddit, they opened up the PFORecruiting subreddit earlier today. Here's a link: The Echo Woodsmen
As always, the most up to date information can be found on our recruitment post in The Seventh Veil public forums, here: The Echo Woodsmen
We're currently in internal discussions to decide which forest hex we'd like to settle in. We may end up on the west side of Phaeros, which means that we'll potentially be next to the druid group from Blackwood Glade (Yay tree friends!).
PM me or post here or in either of the threads listed above with any questions you might have. I check all of those methods of communication multiple times throughout the day.

The Land Rush has only a couple of weeks left. We're pretty excited to get to the next phase of Pathfinder Online. Alpha seems to be going well and several of the addons have been addressed such as the Hell Knights and the Geography ones. Even considering that we want Alpha to last as long as it needs to, we're hoping that Early Enrollment isn't too far off.
Contact us now to learn more about The Echo Woodsmen! Join us and become the manly lumber jack you've always wanted to be! *Dryads not included.

I hope it not too long a wait I already postponed my vacation twice. It was suppose to be June but seeing Alpha had not started I pushed it to July and then late August. Now I have no where to push it since you can only have 1 week between Sept and Dec.
Considering August is almost upon us and alpha stills seems to be in its early stages. I suspect EE will be September or later. I suggest go ahead and take your vacation before it is to late.

Funny the store I work at is going through a remodel the deli department was supposed to be done early July, then August now it looking like September. I am now curious on which one will be done first. At first I would have said Pathfinder would make EE before Kroger would finish it remodel but now I am not sure.
Well I planing on taking first vacation last week in August and second first week in December. They are now set in stone and can not be changed. Sometimes I really hate working retail.

I would caution everyone not to expect Early Enrollment to begin right after the Land Rush. There's probably still a fair bit of waiting to be done, but hang in there!
When it comes, we'll be ready!
the only reason I haven't done any TS is because I lack a usable mic xD
There are a couple of others who regularly visit without the ability to speak. There's a built-in chat that we can utilize in those cases, and if you can at least hear people talking then you'll be able to participate in whatever discussion is going on via that medium.
I shall have to submit my bona fides for membership. A well-tended forest is a healthy forest.
Indeed. Whether there is an in-game mechanic for sustainable harvesting or not, we plan to roleplay as those who tend to the forest and accept what it provides. As a reminder for anyone who would like to join The Echo Woodsmen, or if you'd just like to learn more about us, you can head over to our thread on The Seventh Veil's forums: The Echo Woodsmen

relieved from a traveler who was... defoliating my favorite blueberry patch.
Were they pruning it to help it grow better or defoliating to destroy it? Also, you should come visit us south of Phaeros, we've got some amazing wild high-bush blueberry shrubs that we've been cultivating.
Ye woodsie men probably get some good green whilst ye out there, no? Methinks ye do, yup, me do. Fancy selling some to a poor old fishwife? Calms me nerves down it does! These are troubled time 'lil laddies.
The forest provides many different things to those that are friendly to the natural environs around them. Several of those things are green. I expect that a few of the things we've been able to accept from the forest would suit your needs.
