Infinity gems pathfinder style

I know that we probably have a couple of marvel comics fans with the infinity gems and kind of curious how you would make them? I was thinking of using the infinity gems as an excuse to use the Mythic pathfinder system. It should be noted that a run a party of five players and intend for each of them to have an infinity gem and eventually get the 6th one at the end of the adventure.

Thoughts? Advice?

for people who need a reminder of the infinity gems:

Power Gem – Increased strength and durability, enhances virtually any known superhuman ability, energy manipulation.

Time Gem – Time travel; stop, slow down or speed up flow of time; accelerate or slow down aging; see into past/future.

Space Gem – Travel through space, mostly through teleportation. Able to interfere with the motion of other objects.

Soul Gem – Observe, attack or even steal a being's soul or spirit. Also used to revert individuals to their natural state.

Reality Gem – Alters all of reality; similar to the effects of a Cosmic Cube, but much, much higher.

Mind Gem – Near-limitless psionic/psychic abilities including empathy, telepathy and telekinesis.

I dunno man...kinda overpowered even for mythic rules...

Guess I should say that I want the infinity gems to be a little more int tune with the mythic rules power levels. Of course, if I wanted to make them exactly like they are in the comics, they would just be plot device without bothering with the mechanics.

My plan for example is each Gem is essentially his own mythic path, giving mythic path abilities and allowing the players to take mythic feats and the likes. The regular mythic paths aren't available.

Well it's just an idea of course and wanted to see what people thought about it but guess I could just make plot device without much mechanical impact and rolls with regular mythic rules.

The real infinity gems are kinda' overpowered for all rules everywhere, considering that they represent absolute control over everything in the universe.

I take it you want to represent them in idea but not in power? More of a control of the planet (the entire material plane still seems a bit overpowered)?

Maybe you can keep them in scope simply by having a mechanism for your abilities with the gem itself. An "attunement" rating that they increase through feats or a mythic path. At low attunement, they gain some fairly impressive supernatural abilities (+2 Strength and DR 10/- for Power or Teleport as a spell like ability for Space). At high attunement, they get the epitome of prowess as represented through powers/spells (+10 Strength and DR 40/- with 50 regeneration for Power and Plane Shift with precise accuracy for Space).

Because honestly, only Thanos can control all gems at once. Most others seems to fail at even controlling the limitless power of one of them. It should be difficult to unlock the full potential of the gems.

Yeah basically in spirit , exactly Gren. Attunement sounds actually pretty good.

I don't plan any of my players to be able to wield more than one gem at once.

The attunement idea is fairly simple and probably would avoid unnecessary complications that I had in mind.

All six gems: act as both a character and the GM...a GM who doesn't have to roll dice. Ever.

Lol pretty much.

Any GM that allows a PC to turn his player into an absolute god needs to turn in his dice AND his GM screen.

It's really hard to scale down infinite power to D20 specs.
