Charisma Modifier to Will?

Advice

Hey all,

I was just wondering...is there like a trait or something I could grab to make my Oracle's will save based on charisma instead of wisdom? Other than taking the Ancestor mystery, of course. Something like a trait; or feat or something.

None in Pathfinder that I'm aware of, unless you're a Kobold. There was a feat exactly like that in 3.5, though, if your GM is cool with it.

Liberty's Edge

There's some stuff in 3rd party material as well. Specifically there's a feat for godlings (which as an oracle you'd have to pay a feat to qualify as) that would let you get charisma (or strength, or intelligence, your choice) to all your saves.

Grand Lodge

Well, Fleshcrafting, to emulate the Derro's madness ability.

3.5 had the Force of Personality feat that let you use Charisma instead of Wisdom for Will saves. There's also the Irrepressible faith trait that lets you use Charisma in place of Wisdom for Will saves vs charm and compulsion effects, which is almost as good.

Booo...

Alright, thanks guys ^^

Here's a third party one-

Self Delusion
Even you believe your boasts about your greatness.

Prerequisite: Cha 13.

Benefit: You may add your Charisma modifier, rather than you Wisdom modifier, to your Will saving throw bonus.

Here's an idea: Play a Paladin for 2 levels. You won't regret it.

Yar!

As mentioned, Force of Personality was a 3.x feat that did exactly this. Having 2 levels of Paladin gives you Divine Grace (add Charisma mod to all saves) which is even better (unless you wisdom mod is in the negatives). The 3pp feat mentioned above is also a possibility (a link to the 3pp source would be nice), GM permitting.

One thing not mentioned yet is that you could also invest in a wand of Bestow Grace, which gives you a Sacred bonus to saves equal to your Charisma mod (target must be good).

If you want some epic stacking (some may say 'cheese'): Divine Grace (by being a level 2 Paladin) gives an untyped bonus to saves equal to your Charisma mod. Bestow Grace gives a Sacred bonus equal to your Charisma mod. Ergo, they stack, giving you 2x your Charisma mod to all saves in addition to your normal ability mods to them. O_O

I've heard that the required surgical implanting of the stick up...yonder... is quite discomforting.

After a while it'll grow on you. Besides, it's also free proficiencies and stuff. You could even go 3 levels and laugh at disease and fear effects.

Scarab Sages

Heavens Mystery Oracle can do it as well, but only when the night sky is visible.

...Growing is the last thing I'd want it to do...

FINE! You'll receive no enlarge person buff from me.

As for cha to saves paladin is your only way. It's also a fine class on it's own.

AND the Bestow Grace spell (which can only be cast by a Paladin OR a wand, and the target must be good aligned), and even the Bestow Grace of the Champion spell (which is also on the Cleric list, but is 7th level, and the target must be lawful good in alignment).

So that's 3 ways to do it by RAW, plus a 3pp way and a 3.5 way.

make friends with a great Illusionist. They can make a sky visible for you anywhere. Boda Bing, your heavens.
