What new campaign? Gnomes? Adopted? Spearchucking?

Advice

Grand Lodge

So, I recently went to a session, only to find out that we were starting a new Rise of the Runelords Campaign, and I needed to make a PC, right then. I was caught off guard, but then the DM said we needed a theme to tie us all together. Suddenly, it was decided(despite my protests) that we would all be Gnomes from a single Gnome village, by the players.
I love to take my time, and prepare a PC to fit the campaign, and create a concept, then build the numbers to fit it.
I remembered I planned on building a Spearchucking Half-Orc for another upcoming campaign, and asked the DM if I could be a Gnome-Adopted Half-Orc, and he agreed.
Then, I remembered that I brought none of the notes of the build, and as luck would have it, Paizo was temporarily down, and could not access the thread.

So, from memory, I quickly built Ghik Briarpatch, the Gnome raised Rhyme-talking Half-Orc.

Now, I am unsure how to continue on, and build him to his Spearchucking Glory, or fill in the depths of his persona.

Any advice?

I am actually playing again this Wednesday, and am going to need to level prior to next session.

Grand Lodge

For my first Rage Power, I am considering Reckless Abandon, and then picking up Lesser Hurling and Hurling Charge as my 2nd and 3rd Rage Power.

At 3rd level, I am unsure whether to nab Two-Handed Thrower, or Charging Hurler.

What do you all think?

Any advice?

I'm not sure how you are getting Endurance and I think you've given yourself an extra skill point. Flavorwise it seems you should pick up an adpoted trait but that is just my thinking.

Other than that it seems to look alright.

Grand Lodge

Shaman's Apprentice alternate Racial trait got me Endurance.

I will double check the skill points.

Any advice on where to go from here?

You'll probably want - two-handed thrower, quickdraw and deadly aim as feats at some point. Make sure you reread the other thread as well as many of the comments there can be applied. I haven't looked into building many barbarians and I don't know how useful once per rage powers are considered but you might want to consider Powerful Blow, Surprise Accuracy, Increased Damage Reduction, or Unexpected Strike.

Scarab Sages

I would go with two handed thrower first as it would benefit you more often than charging hurler. Then pick up quick draw if you haven't already (google doc failed to load on my phone).

And I just like the mental picture of a massive Orc chucking spears with both hands.

Grand Lodge

I was thinking of a slightly less Orcy Half-Orc, but that's one of those things I have not detailed out.

Usually, I have a full build, backstory, and picture at the start of a new campaign.

That's just how I roll.

Scarab Sages

Same here. I usually have a full day of prep time put into a character (less if low lvl) before I play it.

Why not full orc? I can totally see a village of gnomes taking in an abandoned Orc baby and raising it to talk in rhyme for no other reason than to have a rhyming Orc in town.

Grand Lodge

Well, the first level of this PC has been made. See this link.

This is for Rise of the Runelords, so is there certain things I should look out for?

I know there are eventually a lot of giants, but are there other things I should look out for?

Ever present DR?

Constant spells or abilities of a certain type?

I'd go for invulnerable rager...

Grand Lodge

Yeah, Invulnerable Rager is what I have decided.

Putting third level to fifth level in Two-handed Fighter for the extra feats and Overhand Chop seems to be good choice.

If there is something that is a huge step up for this build, that I have missed, then let me know.

Grand Lodge

That is a good guide.

Edit: Much of it doe not apply to this particular build though.
