Correct me if I am wrong, but... favored enemy is NOT precision damage, right?
SO scatter firearms, though not affected by precision damage, would be affected by Favored Enemy, correct?

Nope. Nothing about Favored Enemy involves precision damage.
So... it would affect scatter weapons. By RAW, at least.
By RAW and RAI it would work. Favored Enemy isn't about being precise, its about knowing your enemy well enough to know how to fight them, regardless of weapon.
