Does Focused Shot benefit from Deadly Range?

Rules Questions

Apologies if this has come up before, I did my best to check, but didn't turn anything up.

For reference: Focused Shot (Combat)

Prerequisites: Int 13, Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot

Benefit: As a standard action, you may make an attack with a bow or crossbow and add your Intelligence modifier on the damage roll. You must be within 30 feet of your target to deal this extra damage. Creatures immune to critical hits and sneak attacks are immune to this extra damage.

Deadly Range (Ex) (Sniper, alternate Rogue archetype)

At 3rd level, a sniper increases the range at which she can apply her sneak attack damage by 10 feet. This range increases by 10 feet for every 3 levels after 3rd.

Now, what prompts me to ask this (other than a heaping helping of self-interest, naturally) is this: The standard sneak attack range is 30', same as Focused Shot. Things that are immune to Sneak attacks are immune to focused shot. So, it leads me to wonder if they operate on similar principles. If you can hit the vitals well enough to sneak attack it, can hit them well enough to Focused Shot it? Or is it a flat 30', period, no exceptions?

Focused Shot came out well before the APG and the Sniper archetype were released, so couldn't have been specifically mentioned to be included or excluded. And if there's errata already released on the matter, I can't find it.

... My crossbow sniper curses/damns you appropriately, depending on your response. :P

you are better off just taking the "vital strike" feat, it certainly will deal more damage. and is not range restricted.

as to your question, if you go by black/white mentality, focused shot is a different ability then deadly range, therefore its' range would not be increased even if they are similar concept

but ultimately, it's up to your DM to decide when a Paizo staff doesn't respond to you

As written the limit for focused shot is still 30 feet, but house ruling to the sneak attack distance is not game breaking.
