I like the alchemist class but I can do without the Mr.Hyde, is there an Archtype that I missed that replaces the mutagen?

Yeah, check out the Mindchemist from ultimate magic, it replaces the mutagen with the cognagen, which enhances mental abilitys instead.

Close, but still the same coin, just a different side.

Well, there is nothing that completely loses the mutagen feature, but there is one other archtype, The Crypt Breaker, that might suit your needs, instead of the mutagen/cognagen they get this

Crypt Breaker’s Draught (Su)

Rather than develop mutagens that increase their natural armor and physical abilities at the expense of their minds, crypt breakers focus on the creation of special draughts that can enhance their senses. When a crypt breaker drinks one of these draughts, he gains a +4 bonus on all Perception checks and gains one of the following special senses: darkvision 60 feet, low-light vision, or scent. While under the effects of a crypt breaker’s draught, the alchemist also gains light blindness.

This ability replaces the mutagen class ability (a crypt breaker cannot create mutagens unless he selects the mutagen discovery).

Crypt breaker is in the Inner Sea Magic pathfinder chronicles.

Apart from that, i'm afraid for raw pathfinder material you're out of luck my friend.

The crypt breaker is nice, but if you don't mind loosing a few other class abilities, I know I didn't, the Beastmorpher does the same and then alot more, because you can tailor your mutagen to grow gills and swim, or gain wings and dark vision. It'd be less like a +stat mutagen and more like "What do I want to be able to do now, fly? swim? climb? dig?"

It isn't quite finished, but I've been working on an alchemist archetype who loses the mutagen (I feel the same way as you about the mutagen) in favor of abilities with firearms (which makes the most sense for all the classes other than the Gunslinger).

Here's the build so far:

Black Powder Alchemist

Class Skills: replace Heal with Knowledge (Dungeoneering)

Weapon Proficiency: All firearms

The Black Powder Alchemist gains access to Grit and Deeds, but using his Intelligence modifier in place of Wisdom. This replaces Mutagen.

The B.P. Alchemist gains Gunsmith (as per the Gunslinger class feature). This replaces Persistent Mutagen and Swift Poisoning.

That gets everything from the gunslinger except for some bonus feats, nimble, and firearm training? The 3/4ths BAB doesn't matter with touch AC, so what reason is there to play a gunslinger?
