Of course it is. When someone, anyone, brings this type of topic to the forums it will always, eventually, get ridiculous.
My original point was neutral. I was merely trying to explain what I thought was the point of LazarX's post, which by your own admission, you didn't fully understand. His response was indicating that, with lack of additional facts, you could be the jerk. No where did I endorse that perspective.
Your rebuttal insisted that everyone must be humble or they are someone living "wrong." I just wanted to better understand what you meant by that.
Then you marginalized the well accepted concept of "perception is reality." I merely pointed out that I disagreed with that assessment and offered a counter-point.

That's an extremely naive and simplistic view of the world. Very frequently the facts never come out, the truth is never told, and secrets go to unmarked graves.In the end, the facts will always win out. It may take time but they will.I think when in the public eye, that's a rather naive way of looking at things.
True, without knowing the facts nor having both side of the story one cannot be expected to really be able to give a balanced reply.
As for the store owner agreeing? Most will just agree with you to pacify you. I worked retail for 14 years and know how people abuse the system called, "The customer is always right." That system is flawed and cost consumers more in the long run as business have to increase prices to cover the cost of other using that system to scam the store. So, NO, the customer is NOT always right. Wish I had links, but many economist agree that we would be much better off if retailers would not follow that outdated saying.

Patience rather than being humble is a trait I see in more GM's than not.
Working retail and specifically the customer service desk really helps you develop patience. Now, afterwards you just want to shoot yourself inthe head.
A good way to hide your impatience is to just call a break as a DM, or excuse yourself to confer with a fellow GM if possible. Still, thhere are some that are not cut out for GMing, but have been forced into it as there was a need for someone to fill the spot and no one else willing.
I always thought the players should be the ones that should be "humble", don't like the word, since my RPGA days. Back then if you didn't play the senario first, you never could go back and do such; what was called "eating" the mod. I had to do that with a few that my character would have loved to play. PFS is different, so thatis not an issue.
Players however don't understand the time it takes to read and then prep the mod. It is not like reading a nice novel, but more like a textbook and you are studying to a test. Passing or failing however is based on how well the players enjoy the game. A properly perpared GM that knows his stuff can make the most poorly written mod into a great game.
Let me put this out there, coming this January I will be attending a convention for the 2nd time since 1994 where I will only be a player and not be running a game nor helping run the convention. I have in the past always done at least the minimum to get the free hotel room shared with up to 3 other GMs, that was normally at least 40 hrs right there. This was with still working my normal job up to the day I left for the con and sometimes fitting in my 40 hr week in those 3-4 days. Now, that was me, but most of the GMs I knew were in the same boat and could only attend the big cons by doing what I had.
My hat goes off to all those that GM.

I'm afraid I don't understand how a table GM can prevent you from gaining a legal feat.
I suppose, if it were phrased ... "If you take that feat, you are no longer welcome at my table." that might be allowable. In that case, find a different game master.
And really, who is this "other"?
