FYI A+ used to be permanent, so if you took it long enough ago, you're still certified.

~shrugs~ That may be true, but it HAS been over 12 years.

Silver Crusade

BA (Hons) Arts Management

Bronze Swimming Certificate, Silver Swimming Certificate, Gold Swimming Certificate and about a dozen cub scout badges as well.

As a friendly piece of advice from someone in the IT industry. Do not retake your A+ unless you need to. I just completed mine last year in order to retain my job( either get it or your fired type deal) and so I was grandfathered in. Now if you take it you have to retake it every 3 years, it may be two I'm not sure.

Check with your certificate issuer and make sure they still have you on file but don't let them fool you into a retake.
The same applies to Net+ and Security+.

I have a A.A.S in electronics.
I can trace a fault on a motherboard to the component level but it's a useless degree, cheaper just to replace the board than repair.
Currently working on a Bachelors in Network Security.

Ok. Thanks for the advice. I am still going to study the book, just in case, but I will call them and check it out.

BS in Religious Studies I got halfway through a masters in religious studies and got tired of having the faculty tell me folks had no interest in new religious movements their use of academia styled rhetoric, reactions to hegemony and extant political power structures.

With an undergrad that draws heavily on philosophy, history, anthropology sociology, political science, literary criticism, Saussure's language theory, & Campbellian/ Elliadian Mono-myth theories; I tend to be "that guy" at the table. The one who wants to ask about subsistence strategies. Why in this environmental context the sun god should be evil. Why the cosmology presented is based off of the "Kurgan hypothesis" and thus indicates a preexisting culture who experiences domination by another culture and the blending that occurs.

I also have a fork lift certification.

The forklift certificate is the only thing in your entire post I understand, I have one too, I may not get a word you said but you sure as heck sound smart to me.

I'm going back to playing with electricity now.

What is your education level?

I give all my potential players a bank of tests on Math, Science, and Engineering. If they don't have an appropriate GPA for an advanced degree from a recognized school, they have to show constructive life experience.

Yeah, getting into the campaign is tough, but it makes for great adventures.

This is either good satire or bad elitism. Either way, I heartily approve.

Is that what it is? Oh! I thought it was sour grapes...

Did you catch the auroras from the big magnetic storm this week? They were observed as far south as Alabama.

Silver Crusade

Combined Bachelor's of Science and Bachelor's of Education, majoring in Physics.

That's right, I will be the crazy teacher in the school.

I got me a Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D, along with an accompanying Master's degree in Forensic Psychology and another in Clinical psychology). Everyone who I game with has (at least) a college degree and one of my buddies has a Ph.D. in religious studies.

A good Scottish Secondary School Education and then at 18 I entered the University of Life..hey someone had to pay taxes so the students could lay about for 4 years doing nothing.

Just want to point out, this really generates the average Paizo forum poster, not the average Pathfinder Player, since I doubt that the forum is representative of the entire population of players.

Liberty's Edge

I have an AAS in Biomedical Equipment Repair, a BA in Technical Management, and I am currently completing my MBA.

I have also completed my degrees in about every way possible. The AAS I got via a combination of credits granted for my military tech school and CLEP and DANTES tests, my BA I got via all online courses with DeVry, and I am completing my MBA at a traditional brick and mortar college.

Actually it doesn't even do that thanks to self-selection bias. ;-)

The group I regularly play in:

1) Some college (I.T. professional - banking industry)
2) Some college (I.T. professional - trucking industry)
3) Some college (Environmental industry)
4) Masters+ (I.T. professional - banking industry)
5) Masters+ (College History Professor)
6) Completed HS (seasonal labor)
7) Completed HS (disabled)

Interestingly enough, #1 and #4 probably earn the most on an annual basis, likely followed closely by #2, then #3 and #5 may be close in overall compensation. Unsurprisingly, #6 and #7 probably earn the least.

Disclaimer: I only really know the income of one of the above with absolute certainty. I have a really close ballpark for another. The rest are all just guesses (though probably pretty accurate.)

BS in dual major Environmental Forest Biology and Forest Resource management (to learn how to cut down trees and still leave enough forest for the critters)

Associates in Geographic Information systems, because working in a forest isn't an option with a messed up foot and back.

Nope. It's been many years since I've seen the northern lights. (I finished my degree in '94.)
