A recurring villain - The Hound

Council of Thieves

I've just finished writing a short article about a potential recurring villain for the PCs in Council of Thieves, a Hellknight dubbed "the Hound". He can be used in the first three volumes of the AP, and the suggested plots that include him are open - whether you want him to keep on fighting your PCs after his death or not is definitely a strong possibility, thanks to Paizo's awesome article on Graveknights in Undead Revisited.

Too late to edit, fixed mistakes in his stats.

Excellent work. My group has passed the point where introducing this guy would be appropriate but if I run this again I will definately use this side character. a Truly good idea.

I like this, simply for having another written up Hellknight to use in the final module. I think the power level of the Hellknights as they are written is kind of weak, even the Paralictor, so this guy ups the ante, especially since so many books have come out since this path was printed.
Very good write up.
(BTW, is the name inspired by same-named character from Game of Thrones?)

Thanks for the input! And glad that the write up can be of use.

As for the inspiration, I didn't mean it as a direct reference to Martin's Hound (his psychology is quite different too), I simply wanted to emphasize that Hellknight's ability to chase somebody and never give up before his target is caught/dead. That said, I'm currently reading "A song of Ice and Fire", so the name came to me pretty naturally (added to the fact that I like that specific character).

Superb. I'm about to run CoT and will immediately add this NPC. I'm finding lots of great ideas on these message boards for enhancing the flavor of CoT, and this is one of them.
