I have a quick question about PC death in PFS.

Over the past few sessions, I have managed to kill two of my player's characters. The first, while in the Frozen fingers of midnight,

Spoiler:
fell the axes of some Ulfen warriors,
the second player,
Spoiler:
was savaged by a troll last night in “The city of Strangers Part 2: the twofold demise”

In both cases, the party was able to bring the PC corpses to a Temple of Calistra where they were raised from the dead. Both players sent their Prestige points to do this. And they continued with the adventure.

My question is this: While reporting the scenario last night on the PFS website I noticed a box that I could check that said “character died”. I have already noted on their chronicle sheets that they died, and spent the appropriate Prestige Points, so both of their characters are alive and still kicking. Do I need to check this off box off on the PFS website? thanks

Only use the check box if the character was unable to be raised.

I suppose I dont need to go into the friendly banter at the table about how a priestess of Callistra would go about raising a character from the dead.

That is good to know, i only need to check the character death box, if the character is permanently killed or he wasn't for whatever reason raised from the dead.

Thank you,

ELyas

What if the character died during the scenario and did not complete the scenario, but was then raised by the player with the GM after the scenario had wrapped?

Does the character get marked as 'character died' when the GM records this?

The "Character Died" field raises an alert in case somebody tries to apply credit to the character later. ("Hey! You can't give credit to 23149-02; he's dead!")

If a character is able to eat dinner in the Grand Lodge dining hall the next day, regaling her fellows about her exciting experiences and brush with death, then she should not be marked as "character died."

And last clarification here....(dead horse being beaten)....

If the character dies, but is brought back, they get all the prestige points that they're eligible for, correct? (i.e. if they completed 3 of the encounters and the group finishes the mission, they get the mission PP; if they completed their faction mission before dying, or their faction mission is completed for them, they get the faction PP)

I want to be sure I'm crystal clear on this.

Thanks.

Paul, yes. A character who is raised gets the full reward he/she is otherwise eligible for.

And in addition, if he has a gnome companion, he gets a cool moustache drawn on his face in marker.
