OK, i'm still working on loot. (math is hard :P)
So full value-
wand = 285
little longbow = 475
5 magic arrows = 800
1/2 price for all these is 780.
it sounded like DM Trapperkeeper might allow a direct trade for high value items if you had something pricey you wanted.
*****
otherwise:
2039.9+
Desnan Candles = 55
art objects = 630
1/2 magic resale = 780
= 3522.9/5 = 704.8 gp

Meh, the horse know it's way. I just gotta keep 'em motivated.
Was there a "high-value" item list somewhere or a range of things the town may have that I missed somewhere?

Was there a "high-value" item list somewhere or a range of things the town may have that I missed somewhere?
We'll have to check with the DM, but I was thinking maybe we could get a coupon to trade one magic item/fancy bow for an item of equal or lesser value...
Do we want to repair Whispering Shrike as well?
I guess as far as magic items-
i wonder if we can exchange the +1 animal bane arrows for +1 flaming arrows or something. Enhancing the MW shuriken might be fun, but I'm the only one that could use them.
DM NomadSage |

Indeed... :)
Savah's Armory: +2 dagger [8,302 gp], +2 spell resistance (13) studded leather armor [16,175 gp]
The Feathered Serpent: periapt of health [7,400 gp], ring of feather falling [2,200 gp], wand of magic vestment (27 ch) [6,075 gp]
Pillbug's Pantry: potion of protection from chaos [50 gp], potion of levitate [300 gp]
The Curious Goblin: scroll of mirror image [150 gp]
These are in addition to the town's 1,300 gp value item limit. The Sandpoint Cathedral sells numerous healing items.

Is that it for potions? no go on potions of mage armor?
btw- i just found out i'm driving for work over the next couple days. not sure about internet. i'll be back fri night if access is lacking.

I'd like to keep Whispering Strike for now if it's not included in the sell price. I don't know if any of us will use it but a named magic item like that may come in handy. /shrug.

Like Maeve said, the listed items are not counted against the town's spending limit, so you can still pick up other potions, cure wands, etc.
Also, I have no partially charged wands... use the base price x % of charges + 10% for your cost. So a wand with half charges is 60% base price...

Purchases all look good, and the caravan looks well built!
Any questions before we move on? It will still take a week or so to get all the supplies and wagons ready for departure... anything you want to resolve in-character, bring it to the main thread - otherwise, let me know if you're ready to proceed.

Do they make scrolls in braile? :)
DM NomadSage |
DMNS- just curious, does the AP have you roll for weather or are you making it up? what else do you check each day? random encounters?
I'm using a combination of the random encounter table in the adventure and the weather chart in the core rulebook, and then kinda filling in the blanks.
DM NomadSage |
How funny- I've been running for a while now and never noticed that the Core Rules had a weather table :P
Good job on the travel descriptions. It seems like we've been lucky on the random encounters although maybe that's changed...
Dunh. dunh. DUNNH!
Thanks! Yeah, the dice were pretty good in your favor - the only "encounters" were the Varisian caravan on day 2, and the weather just now.
Any feedback (from everyone) on the travel portion? Too much, too little, too fast, too slow?
Harlan Starshine |
Travel is good for me so far. I assume there are set piece encounters and once we hit those it'll slow down as we deal with it, so fast forwarding through the travel with a brief discussion is fine with me.

Awesome Harlan! No honeymoon?
Harlan Starshine |
Actually we were trying to stay away from Halloween but every place we called kept saying the same thing. "You're getting married this year?" So we just ended up getting the first weekend we could and hoping for no snow. As it turns out it was a sunny 50 F with only a few minutes of hail, so we lucked out.
Sorry for the late reply, lost track of everything with the wedding and all.

Thank yous! Problem = Gall bladder... one of the things your body doesn't really need until it needs to get rid of it. :/
Ask them to take all the other useless crap while they're in there: appendix, tonsils, lymph nodes ... fat. You know, the works :)
Good luck, my man.
