Well, I'm waiting to hear back from Tarrana, but at the moment it looks like we're down to two players in Red group. I think it might be time to merge the two groups. That will consolidate my GMing attention and add a cleric and a diviner to Blue group's roster.
I've been having fun watching the paths of the two groups criss-cross over each other without actually coming into contact. It's been difficult keeping things moving, but I'm enjoying myself.
I have been enjoying this immensely. Much as I think Stilgar and I work well together, we're pretty hard done by for many skills, so a merger would definitely help us out.
I only just now saw Shadowborn's PM from over a week ago, which is telling of just how much time I've had of late.
I'm going to go ahead and resign from this game. I lost track of things fairly early on, and never really recovered. That was exacerbated by my lengthy re-locating hiatus to the point where I never really felt I could catch up. On top of that I've had real-life stuff that's endangered my ability to keep my own game afloat.
I enjoyed my time with you fine folks, even though the great majority of that was, I feel, spent as a straggler. Happy trails.
My posting is going to remain erratic. Got a big painting/recarpeting project going on that's eating up most of my free time. With luck it should all be done and over with in the next three or four days. Please be patient.
Bleah. House renovations have run into a writing deadline and some other things, stretching out into a big old mess. Long story short, I'll be finishing up the current activities of both groups and then combining the two, running the action until a good point where I'll be starting another thread for the combined group. I'm shooting for Sunday or Monday.
"Seems like all we do lately is bury people- well, let's check his pockets one last time and we'll get him properly cared for..." is quite possibly the most un-Paladin-like thing I've ever heard a Paladin say. I love it.
In other news, I made it in as a finalist in the Lost Magic contest on Kobold Press. If you all would vote for my portal jaunt spell, I'd be mighty grateful.
I said I was shooting for Monday to combine the groups. I didn't specify which Monday, however. And the fact that it is now Tuesday is utterly irrelevant. ;-)
I have it, it's awesome. As an aside, I have an adventure that's being published in Kobold Press's Midgard Tales anthology that comes out July-ish. Having read quite a few of the (13) adventures, I can highly recommend it to all :)

Nice! I backed the Kickstarter, but didn't really follow too closely on development since I wanted to be surprised. I'm liking Midgard more and more, especially the Wasted West/Western Ocean. Now if only they'd call me on for more illustrations.
In other news, I couldn't help but to chuckle a bit at our new thread name. :P
Well, we had red and blue, so I figured I'd riff off the color theme. It isn't an idle name either; there's a bit of foreshadowing in there.
I'll probably be picking up the Worldbuilding Guide with my gift certificate. One of the "things to do" still on my list is to get the Wounded Earth to a point where I can publish it as a full campaign setting.
Will do. There are plenty of areas in the world that could use fleshing out. Some will get additional treatment depending on which direction(s) the party chooses to go from here.
I'll send him a pm. In the meantime, here's a little player background on Erda I dug up:
Spoiler:
Basic Information on Erda and her Tenets
Clerical Organization: Regional and Informal, no central power base
Priesthood: Mainly female, some males
Holy days: Equinoxes (Ritual of Rebirth, Harvest Festival) and Solstices (Day of Verdancy, Erda’s Promise)
Colors: Green, Brown, Black (Violets, blues, pinks, and yellows associated with the Ritual of Rebirth)
Symbols: Apple Tree; A sheaf of wheat on a field of green (usually circular); a woman’s head crowned in wildflowers, or leaves and blossoms (apple), or wheat; a Summerpole; the World Orb (a sphere, usually blue and green in color, carved with symbols of mountains, trees, and animals).
Sacred/symbolic Animals: Hare, doe, turtledove, mare.
Tenets and beliefs: All life forms that are sustained by the land are Erda’s children. Most sects believe that the intelligent races are above the others, but are careful to be reverent in their harvesting of the land, whether hunting or farming, and are aware that it is Erda’s blessing that they have such bounty at the expense of Her other children. Some more extreme sects practice vegetarianism, eating only what animal products can be acquired without harming them, i.e. eggs, milk, and honey. It is commonly believed that the status of the land reflects the health and disposition of Erda, rather than her displeasure with her followers. Offerings are given of pure spring water, and the best portions of the harvest or the finest of livestock. These offerings are consecrated upon Erda’s altars before being buried in sacred sites.
Hey Shadowborn, I know I mentioned this a while back about the difference in flavor between a Witch's familiar and a Wizards. Even moreso is the concept of a Patron, expecially in a game with a theme that places emphasis on religion in the world and acceptance of belief systems.
That...looks like food for thought. Speaking of food, I'm going to go get some so I can actually have some coherence to my thoughts before I give that a good read-through.
One thing I've instituted in the Wounded Earth--though as yet your characters haven't had any experience with--are small gods. Creatures of power (dragons, elementals, fey, magical beasts, outsiders) can grant powers to disciples in a manner similar to the way gods grant them to their clerics. This ability is much more limited and the amount of disciples that can be invested in this manner is determined by the power of the creature. Disciples do not have access to domains, but they do have a patron that is much more readily at hand and able to intervene on their behalf.
That said, I like what I read in that piece. I see a few of those options being viable (not Baba Yaga, but then this world is bad enough without her in it). Any of those will still likely get Kalaya burned as a heretic or an infidel, so I'm good with it. :)
On a side note, I have a campaign running on Indiegogo to get myself to Paizocon this year. Any help in spreading the word would be greatly appreciated.
